Woody Allen Eyes Cate Blanchett, Bradley Cooper For New Film

EXCLUSIVE: Woody Allen is readying his next film, and I’m told that he wants Cate Blanchett as his leading lady, and that he’s also eyeing Bradley Cooper for his ensemble. Allen, who won Best Screenplay Oscar for Midnight in Paris, is reportedly eyeing Copenhagen as the setting for his next film. He just completed To Rome With Love, which Sony Pictures Classics releases June 22. Allen’s camp would not comment on casting.

Can someone figure out if Bradley Cooper is talented? I can't tell.

I wish I could be Woody Allen.

He just goes off, makes clever, fun little movies with medium budgets and big stars and gets to do it in some of the most beautiful and intriguing locals in the world.

But the Asian stepdaughter/wife stuff is some weird ****, I'll agree.

I don't use the term 'overrated' too often but...Bradley is somewhat overrated.

But most of Cooper's acclaim is due to his prettiness, not his acting ability.

Cate Blanchett in a Woody Allen movie :hrt:

Why are people talking about Bradley Cooper?

First image of Blanchett in Blue Jasmine. :hrt:

Wow. I can see Cooper working magnificently in a Woody Allen flick. Can't wait.

I have a hard time believing Cate will ever not be the personification of beauty.

Cooper dropped out.

Cannot wait for Blue Jasmine. Loved From Rome to Love and A Midnight in Paris.

The trailer looks fantastic and a great showcase for Blanchett! :awesome:

I'm annoyed I'm moving to a small town with a ****** theater the week this comes out. I'll just have to make a trip out of my way to see it.

Finally saw this. Definitely one of Woody's best and Blanchett was phenomenal.

I saw it a few days ago. The performances alone hold this movie up. I don't know if I liked the ending, but the film definitely had a charm to it I really enjoyed. I was also surprised that Andrew Dice Clay was my favorite performance in the film.
