With the news that Indy 5 is probably going ahead afterall, I thought I'd make a thread about the upcoming movies you really couldn't care less about (Or actively hate the very idea of!)
Here's one:

I'm amazed Underworld got ONE sequel, nevermind THREE! I've never actually met anyone who likes these movies, who keeps going to see these?!

Here's another one:

You couldn't pay me to go see this movie.

The new Spider-Man and Batman movies. Huzzah!

But honestly, I don't find anything about either interesting.

Red Tails
Ghost Rider
21 Jump Street
Mirror Mirror
Twilight 5

And I'll see the Hobbit but its nothing I'm excited over.

Nor I.
I get a bad feeling about the new Spidey movie (Not helped by that glum, joyless trailer) and as for Batman... well, for my money, the Arkham franchise is the most exciting thing going on with him right now.

Even if I make my first enemies here by that statement: Since Prometheus and The Dark Knight Rises look so awesome and promising, I found myself rather uninterested in THE AVENGERS.

Kill me, its true. If they would delay THE AVENGERS by a year today I honestly wouldnt care. Same goes for THE HOBBIT.

Also I am not exactly curious to see The Amazing Spider-Man

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Dark Knight Rises and Prometheus. Those are the 3 films a delay would kill me, those 3 films I cannot wait for.

aka Judging a book by it's cover.

Much as I'm looking forward to Prometheus, my concern about it is that they retroactively ruin Alien by explaining away all the mystery, thus destroying it forever.

I'm personally not looking forward to the new Underworld movie either. The only possible saving grace is Kate Beckinsale's hotness.:woot: Another movie i'm not too psyched about is The Dark Knight Rises.

The bold portion is the only thing we agree on. Avengers and the Hobbit are probably the movies I anticipate seeing most, though I'm not going to say a delay would "kill" me.

Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

Btw your second choice isn't showing up Wesley.

Definitely the Underworld and Resident Evil sequels that Hollywood keeps crapping out like it has dysentery. Who the hell goes to see these movies? Granted, I've only seen the first film in each series, but I was smart enough to stop after that. Also, I still have no idea why they made a Ghost Rider sequel.

Others...

Mirror Mirror
Twilight 5
The Hunger Games
Wrath of the Titans
Indy 5
Contraband
The Sitter
Battleship
The Darkest Hour
Brave
Ice Age: Continental Drift

And virtually any movie starring any of the following actors in lead roles: Channing Tatum, Jessica Alba, Taylor Lautner, Adam Sandler, Jennifer Lopez and Eddie Murphy.

I am looking forward to The Avengers, Dark Knight Rises, and The Amazing Spider-Man. You can't call yourself a comic/ superhero nerd if your not excited about these movies. Also Sherlock Holmes and Mission Impossible look good.

I am not looking forward The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. I heard it was depressing and from the trailers it looks super boring. Who wants to see something like that around the holidays.

I am also not looking forward to the Hobbit. Not really sure what else comes out in 2012. But overall, I think it will be a good year for movie goers.

Movies I'm not looking forward to:

Men In Black 3
John Carter
The Amazing Spider-Man
Sherlock Holmes 2 (A sequel to a mediocre annoying self-satisfied film, yay!)

All of these films have a chance to change my mind but so far I haven't seen anything great out of them. I'm a huge Spider-Man fan and loved the first two movies but I'm finding it hard to get excited about a too soon reboot that is looking more Batman Begins than Spider-man. I'm fine with it being more serious than Raimi's version but I don't want the Spider-man franchise to turn into Nolan's Batman franchise tone wise. And I don't see the need for a total re-orgin this soon. Sony better get around to releasing a trailer that shows some kind of joyful tone before I completely decide to give up on the film because that first trailer was kinda a bust.

Men In Black 2 sucked and I see no reason that the 3rd one will be any better.

My opinion of John Carter is in the movie's thread.

The Avenger's trailer is mediocre and I've only really like the first Iron Man and Captain America but I'm going to see it anyway because I'm a big fat nerd.

As a Spider-Man fan, I have no admit that I've expressed very little interest in The Amazing-Spiderman. I don't know why. The director is great, the cast is great, I'm thrilled to bits that they're finally using the mechanical webshooters, and I love that they're finally using The Lizard as the villain (who I've been begging for for years).

But as far as genuine enthusiasm for the film, I've had next to none. Maybe it's because I can't reconcile with that God-awful costume. Or maybe it's because I have little interest in seeing the origin story again so soon. For whatever reason, I barely frequent a board that I used to spend quite a bit of time on during the Spider-Man 2 days.

I've never seen the appeal in any of the Men in Black films. I thought the first one was an overrated, unfunny, cheap-looking bore, and the second one wasn't really any better. I'm surprised they're even making a third.

The Akira production just needs to stop. Immediately.

Don't like Batman too much, and Nolan's Batman even less.
I haven't seen anything about that movie, from the cast and crew to the story and concepts to the costume, that I've liked.

I think that the first Men in Black is a terrific film. Different strokes though.

I mustn't be that smart then as I enjoyed both of the Wiseman directed Underworld movies. ;)

That oughtta be it fixed. Thanks, Hunter.

After viewing The Avengers first full trailer again, I can confidently state that I am no longer interested in catching the film. It appears too generic. Ironman 2, Thor, and Captain America probably also derailed me from the build up.

I'm a huge Spiderman fan, nevertheless, this reboot doesn't provide that spark to me. I'll still catch it opening day but I am not desperate.

And I agree, Akira just needs to stop. That project is a goddamn mess.

TDKR and Prometheus are the only two that have me dying for any piece of intelligence.

The Thing. If that counts. Looked pretty crap and fairly pointless. The Thing marked a high point for animatronics. Now it's boring fake looking CGI.

Soon as I heard most of the effects for it were CGI, my interest in it took a serious hit but I'm still weirdly curious about it. Think I just love the Carpenter movie too much to ignore it.

If it's not comic book/superhero/sci-fi related then I'm not interested but there are some choices that have me scratching my head such as Ghost Rider 2, The Spirit.

And I definitely don't care for Twilight, POTC and Girl with the Dragon pearl/earring or whatever tatoo.

And speaking of the new Spider-Man reboot I'm not really that amped up about it nor do I care for the cast and Andrew Garfield just looks waaaay too dorky even by Peter Parker standards.
