    Next PS3 update possibly tommorrow.

A Voice Changer feature has been added to the Voice and Video Chat menu. If you want more information visit eu.playstation.com and consult the "Voice Changer" guide included in the "Help and Technical Assistance for PS3" section.
This feature allows you to change the tone of the sound originated by audio devices, like microphones. It has 5 preset levels and a bass and (what's the opposite of bass? :p) scale.

You can alter the tone while using the Voice and Video chat options available in "Friends"

    Other 2.10 stuff

    Music

    - Now you can select the options [Type 3] in Settings > Music Settings > Bitmapping. This bitmapping process has been designed exclusively for the PS3 with the goal of improving the audio reproduction.

    Video

    - DivX y VC-1 WMV (WOOOOOT) are now compatible. *
    - The system is now compatible with the Profile 1.1 Blu-ray Disc. **

    - A [BD data tool] option has been added ***

    *
    - To play VC-1 (WMV) files you will need to select the option [Activate WMA reproduction], available in the Settings > System Settings
    - It's not possible to play copyrighted files or files compressed with DivX 3.11
    - It's not possible to play files bigger then 2GB
    **
    - Now you have several additional features, like the simultaneous reproduction of the videos in the Blu-ray Disc compatible with the 1.1 Profile. The available features vary depending on the disc.
    ***
Stores the management data used by the Blu-ray Disc.

It allows for true seamless PIP content in certain Blu ray movies. The first batch of movies coming out with these features will hit in January.

I have a feeling we won't ever see it. You might have to wait until Home hits.

And because Home wil never happen.......

    :D

Now, for real, what is the deal with Home?
Why does Sony keeps postponing it?
Are they actually expecting that people will wait for it, and i mean the ones the non-owners (meaning that they will run to buy the PS3 as soon as home is released)?
Or they delayed it just to release it in 2008, the do or die year for the PS3?

If 2008 is not the year for Sony, they are in serious trouble with the PS3.
Tekken 6, God of War 3, Final Fantasy 13, Grand Turismo 5, Metal Gear 4,....
If they don´t outsell the 360 and the Wii......i just don´t know

LOL! Home is still being tested. They pushed it back to add a few more things and it will be out in early 2008. I'm glad they are fine tuning it before releasing it to the public.

Why does everyone say PS3 is do or die next year? It has sold nearly as much systems in the first year as the 360 did in it's first. Keep in mind Sony has had to deal with a higher street price in the begining and competition with the Wii and 360. 360 had no Next Gen Compettion in it's first year. The argument can also be made that there have been better games for the PS3 in its first year than 360. I am assuming that you are trying to compare PS3's success to 360. So if you are not using the 360 as your measuring stick, what are you using?

The PS3 is doing just fine and 2008 will be a big turning point in this "Next Gen war".

Now we just need the PS3 to be profile 2.0 compliant and be able to decode DTS Master Audio and send it as PCM and it will be the ultimate Blu-ray player.
