US Airways makes $8B bid for Delta

Didn't US Airways already buy America west... And last I heard, that partnership wasn't going that well either...

It seems like a good move given Delta is distressed and US airways lacks the critical mass to compete with other International Carriers.

Of course, only time will tell if this merger, if it happens, actually works.

The one thing to note is that the market approves given the increase in US Airways shares.
