Here my dilemma. I have Verizon Fios Triple Play. I have two TV's, one on the main floor, and one in the basement. Both have Set Top Boxs (STBs) to be able to watch HD channels on the TV, according to Verizon, I can't watch TV without a STB, so I have to play extra money per month for both STBs.

My question is, I have another TV in my room, how can I get Channels on my TV in my room without paying additional money for a STB, splitter???

I would like to know too, i have the same thing DIRECTOR.

You can't. Verizon, like DirecTV and Dish Netowrk, encode their signal. You will require a box in order to get TV in another room. It's one of those little details they don't mention in their commercials. Also, be prepared for your monthly bill to increase significantly once your promo period is up. Also, should you tire of Fios, and want to switch back to DSL and standard phone service, you can't, and neither can anyone else who ever lives at that address. Fios is permanent.

Love the FIOS. It does suck though not being able to split the signal.

Also to keep your promo period going you just have to know how to wheel and deal. My wife and I have had HBO and Cinemax free for over a year now and they have upped our internet speeds twice. I am over 25Mbps down and 15 up right now. With all of that our bill has not changed since we got FIOS 2 years ago.

Mal'Akai - Love the customizer website.
