What a sad, strange little man:

Movie director Uwe Boll has released a couple of YouTube videos lamenting the failure of his third crowdfunding campaign.

Boll's rants are full of swear words and language that is definitely NFSW, so if you do opt to watch then be sure to do so with headphones!

The director, best known for his critically-panned video-game-to-screen adaptations like BloodRayne, Alone in the Dark and Far Cry, was trying to raise money for Rampage 3 but without much success. His previous failed campaigns include one for Postal 2, while one for Rampage 3 first failed to garner sufficient interest on Indiegogo and the same now looks set to happen Kickstarter.

In the videos, which you can see below, Boll eloquently says, "So, basically, my message is f*** yourselves. It looks like no one gives a s*** about Rampage 3 so maybe I shouldn't do it then. I have enough money to play golf 'til I'm dead.

"I wanted to do Rampage 3 because it is an important movie, but it looks like you are easier [sic] giving $600k to make a movie about some r******d wizard in the forest or some Marvel Avengers bulls*** dirt. So goodbye and goodbye Hollywood."

The first video focuses mainly on those who decided not to back Boll's campaigns, though a second, longer video attacks Hollywood as a whole, various actors and actresses including Jennifer Lopez and Robert Downey Jr., and foreign film investors.

The last few years have not been hugely kind to Boll. He made a play for the director's job on the Warcraft movie when Sam Raimi left but before Duncan Jones signed on, though wasn't successful. It seems Blizzard may be familiar with his filmography, considering the company's Paul Sams responded saying "We will not sell the movie rights, not to you…especially not to you."

I'll pay for him to NEVER make another movie again. How much? :o

The House of the Dead is still one of my favorite movies. I have epic memories seeing it with my friends.

haha. favorite movies. I guess for the experience.

The sad and hilarious thing is that the 4:30 rant has some eerily legitimate points, but because it's all coming from him, it's going to go completely ignored, lol. Seriously, half of the things he said... I 100% agree with, haha. I just don't see where he gets off considering he's made some of the worst movies ever. I wish someone who actually matters would come forward and say all this stuff.

He's the worst filmmaker around, of course he wasn't going to raise enough money.

It was hard to understand half of what he said. He may have a couple of good points but coming from a guy like that and with his history and talent, no one will ever take him seriously

I don't begrudge Uwe Boll. Dude figured out ways to make movies, make money and get the studios their money back. That's the job. But since that little loophole got closed up, I don't think he can still do this.

What do you agree with?

Just the general theme of a lot celebrities pretending to care about some cause or awareness while flying in their private jet. I understand that anyone can support any cause they want and that's great, but it reaches satirical levels that almost feel like fiction when you see some model wearing fur and smiling on the red carpet for some AIDS charity benefit. It's like something out of a Bret Easton Ellis novel.

Or the idea that Hollywood in a nutshell is just a bunch of BS. Bloated budgets, bloated salaries, franchise obsession. The fact that most actresses probably won't get work after they're 40 unless they want to play a grandma.

Mind you, I hate Boll, I hate his movies, he's the worst director probably ever.

Different people care about different things. Though I agree that many do it to promote themselves.

So much of this is on the audience though.

Boll isn't saying anything new or anything that many people haven't said before.

Hence why I said a lot of celebrities and not all of them. :o
I think Matt Damon in particular seems to be doing amazing things with Water.org.

Agreed. That's really most of the issue.
I view Hollywood's problems much the same way I view fast food or cigarettes.

My agreement with Boll ends there, because I don't understand his point about his "fans" not funding his "art" when he's doing BloodRayne 3, 4, 5, 6, etc. If this were all coming from Woody Allen or Scorsese, I'd be taking it a lot more seriously, just for the fact that Woody Allen isn't going to get a call for Transformers 6 anytime soon. :oldrazz:

Considering his comments on Bay, I don't think he'll get a call either if Bay is involved.
