Vampires, vampires, vampires!

Okay, could we possibly have another re-hashed vampire story shoved in our faces? Not that I am complaining about shows like "True Blood". I mean, any program that gets Anna Paquin to do full-blown nudity, I tip my mushroom cap to you. However, there can only be so many good vampire stories to tell that aren't tainted by the CW label or whatnot and, good or not, they just keep coming. I present tonight's David Letterman Top Ten list of mid-season replacement shows with vampire themes(actually, they're all made up, for the record). Here we go

number 10: Bloody Betty
number 9: Dawson's Crypt
number 8: Are You Smarter than a 5th Grade Vampire?
number 7: The O-Negative
number 6: The Man From B.I.T.E.
number 5: The V Word
number 4: Nip/Suck
number 3: Dracula's Anatomy
number 2: America's Next Top Blood Donor

and the number one upcoming vampire program....

TV/Film/Literature needs to cut the s*** with all these human girl/vampire guy romances, because I can almost garantee (sp?) you that Buffy the Vampire Slayer did it 1000 times better. It was just epic. This "True Blood", however, is just stupid (Anna Paquin nudity or not).

I wouldnt exactly refer to TB as "rehashed" either. They're take on things with them integrating into society, synthetic blood, etc. is pretty unique.

i haven't watched true blood but i think they do have the right concept.

Well, I will agree that a relationship where lover's spats are settled with sword fights to stop a demon from eating the world can't be beat, but I still rather like True Blood. It's just all pulpy and fun.
