Pretty sure it's limited release into theaters though, but also on VOD. All on Jan 24th 2014. There's a trailer on youtube, but it is R rated it seems like.

Heh, Van Damme looks like Silva from Skyfall. The trailer pretty much tells you how this is going to go down, but could be entertaining anyway.

Hey, he plays a tough Police Chief on Sleepy Hollow lol.

This was film as a dvd movie though I think. But Hyams gives it a class feel.

Also, the piracy of movies (illegal downloading) has pretty much killed the direct to dvd market for action films. Just like the four day time soaps left, they film on a tight sch now a days. This film shot for I *think* 4 weeks. I read somewhere how one actor said shooting sch's and budget's have come down in the past 10 years

I know most people haven't seen his recent stuff, but the guy is really good value. He's hilarious. I'd love to see him in something like Tarantino's next western.

I think Van Damme is one the old school action heroes who 'gets' it. Even more so Stallone. Stallone 'gets it' when it's convenient (Expendables, Rocky, Rambo) but when he does other stuff, he's in the same almost oblivious mode he's always been.

I think Van Damme is one the old school action heroes who 'gets' it. Even more so Stallone. Stallone 'gets it' when it's convenient (Expendables, Rocky, Rambo) but when he does other stuff, he's in the same almost oblivious mode he's always been.

Have you seen Until Death? Van Damme is great in it. He plays a dirty cop hooked on heroin. It's a Drama-thriller. It didn't go to theaters, but he actually promoted it. It's a good movie, but uneven overall.

In a lot of his direct to dvd movies his acting improved. But he mostly played a depressed type guy (Second in Command, Assassination Games, 6 Bullets, Hard Corps) Wake of Death he was good in. But he didn't talk much. He played a grieving hitman father who loses his wife in the film, but was excellet at showing emotion and being pissed off.

Gosh, I have a strong desire to watch Wake of Death and Until Death now.
