Looks like Venom has Black webbing to contrast with Spider-man's white.

since spider-man was the first person to bond with it, it's copies his powers.

Have you ever read a comic with Venom before or have at least seen the cartoon? The symbiote gives Eddie all of Spidey's powers and then some.

Well if you have then you should have notice that its not explained verbally but visually. The difference is that in the comics and AS, venom's webs where white(or translucent) like spidey's but thicker, and he had tendrils which I hope he has in the movie too, specially since in the trailer we can see the tendrils going alive in the suit wehen peter tries to take it off.

The symbiote will copy Spideys powers.
Eddie will bond with the symbiote to become Venom.
He will then be able to use the powers.

In otherwords Eddie will only be able to use the powers when hes bonded with the symbiote, just like the comics. He cant use them if hes disconnected from the symbiote.

I think that may just be the light causing it to look white at parts.

i look at that seen in HD shot by shot, im not sold that its webbing around his neck, i thought it looked more like a rope or something that harry might use
