What surprise, UC hates something.

I think the opposite. If anything Mass Effect with it's multiple paths and endings it would be more watered down than Gears.
and its not like we couldnt get a Mass Effect and a Gears movie
That's also a worry too, though with Mass Effect I don't think they're going to go straight the road of the games. The ME universe is so grand and big that you create a movie separate from the games.
With Gears, I'm just worried they'll cut down the violence in Gears. The reason why Gears wasn't happening now was because they were only gonna get a $30 million budget, which would've been nothing.
i think a devil may cry movie would be cool. of course i would want them to follow the storyline created from the games but lets be honest, the first one really didnt have much story. instead id like to see dantes awakening be the first movie and go from there. of course i wouldnt mind some differences from the games cuz thats expected but nothing drastically different
same goes for metal gear solid. that storyline, i really dont even kno how they would make a movie out of them without offending all the game players out there. i have all the games but find it nearly impossible to make a direct film out of the often-confusing story those games have. theres about 6 games that create a story and they bounce around from different characters in different times. personally i would love to see 4 films that round out everything. not everything could be explained in the film so itd be cool to see animated prequels that explain things with the voice actors from the movies. but to see something that would be the original metal gear or metal gear solid as a first film would be really cool. if they did solid then it would be a cool way to explain how he is a clone as a twist throughout the film. past that i wouldnt be so sure what the narrative would be. raiden shouldnt be a main focus in the films, i like him in the games but leave him there for the most part, it would just complicate the overall story. instead the stories from the original metal gear, metal gear solid and metal gear solid 4 should be made into a series of films. i dont find it necesary for snake eat to be made into a film unless its later on and they are trying to fill in all the bumps.
There was a rivalry between Trish and Lady in the anime. The movie could take some cues from there too.Although I fear DMC will go down the same path as the Resident Evil franchise.I could see them starting off with Devil May Cry 3 as the first film just so it could establish Dante as a character. Then from there the sequel can be Devil May Cry 1 and we see Dante encounter Trish for the first time, maybe have a bit of rivalry between her and Lady. I'm iffy on them every using anything from Devil May Cry 2 since that game didn't really live up to any of the others. If they were to take something from DMC 2, I would say Dante's suit.
Im not that in to horror games or movies, but that trailer for Dead Space did get em interested in the game and maybe a movie
http://gamerant.com/mass-effect-movie-story-robk-105708/Q: Will it just be an adaptation of the first game, second game, or a completely new story?
A: It will be a completely new story
Q: How are you going to address the element of ‘choice’ that the players have in the game?
A: A movie narrative is different than gameplay. There won’t be a choice aspect to this film, just a normal film narrative.
Q: Will it be a trilogy?
A: We are really focused on making this a great movie, so we’ll see where it takes us. We have to get the first one right to know whether there will be more.
Q: Will Seth Green portray Joker (that character he voiced in the game?)
A: No.
Q: Will the movie be focused on Sheppard?
A: Yes.
Q: If the movie is focused on Sheppard, will it be the male Sheppard or the female Sheppard?
A: Male.
Q: Can you give any hints to potential casting?
A: No. Stay tuned.
Q: Will BioWare allow plot / character changes?
A: Yes, we are working closely with BioWare on the development of this project.
Q: Would you consider Daft Punk to do the soundtrack?
A: We love Daft Punk, but it’s too early to say who will produce the soundtrack.
