Is it just me, or was that a total wasted effort last season? The hype that he was some inhuman stuck in his cocoon, and then once freed, his sister kills him, drops him into the ocean, and he goes back into a cocoon. I know they used him in the framework for the "What If" part, but it should have just been the "Who Cares" part. Maybe they are planning to bring him back in S5 or in Inhumans, not sure. Just seems like that was a waste of screen time, casting, writing, an overall failure in every way.

He's hanging out with Blizzard and Graviton.
Blizzard is currently hanging out six feet undergound.:oldrazz:
He's probably with Ian Quinn and Graviton though...
(Though technically they didn't find his body...)

It's obviously set-up for something else.

Hopefully, but they set it up back on January 10th. I can only hope they were playing the long game, but with the show on shaky ground for renewal, just makes me question whether they have any real plans at all.

Maybe they'll meet up and start a abandoned-plot-thread club.
I can't help but feel vijaay will play a part in season 5. I think his husk is floating in space and he'll eventually be a big part of the inhumans games.

But I also think that when the gang ends up going back in time, they'll end up in the 40s and resolve the agent carter cliff hanger

I think the primary role for him was indicating that he can't be kill and that Aida had that trait. But it did seem like they were teasing him going against his sister and the Watchdogs but seems that was dropped.

Season 5 Episode 8 "The Last Day" Synopsis...

"Coulson and the team discover that the most unexpected person from S.H.I.E.L.D.'s past may hold the key to preventing Earth's destruction."

Seems like a perfect opportunity to bring back Vijay. At this point, most of us have forgotten about him, making him unexpected. I also believe his character arc felt abandoned. Mostly when we see him undergo a secondary terrigenisis, then nothing.
His fate was a focused open ending. Him showing up now could bring it full circle or bring closure.

Could also be that business dude from season one whose name I've forgotten.
