Villains who will not appear in the MCU

CBR recently did a list of villains who are not likely not appear in the MCU:

I think there is an error in that list, because Mr. Hyde did appear in Agents of Shield.

Anyway which villains do you think will not appear in the MCU?

More seriously...well, now that there's going to be a New Warriors sitcom, I don't know that any villain Marvel owns the rights to is off limits. It wouldn't surprise me to see Squirrel Girl go up against Paste Pot Pete.

I'm sure the Trapster is owned by Fox. However, I do agree that more jokey badguys could go on that show.

I'm pretty sure almost any villain they have the rights to has a chance of appearing, given the wide variety of shows they are making. Unless a villain is really controversial or something.

I'm pretty sure Marvel will *never* use, say, the Mandrill. But characters who they can use and which aren't 100% awful? There's always a chance they'll show up somewhere.

I doubt it. I suspect legacy characters are affiliated with the original. The only exception I can think of is I doubt Johnny Storm and Jim Hammond are connected but, even then, the trappings of the character (The Human Torch) are with Fox (likewise, Jessica Drew is with Marvel, but Spider powers and Spider names are with Sony).

Well I doubt Yellow Claw will ever appear and I think this list is not supposed to be 100% serious.

Though I can't imagine Trapster appearing in a FF movie or Silt-Man appearing in the Daredevil series.

TV rights aren't known, but are easy to make an educated guess about based on court filings. Short answer is that a lawsuit between Marvel and Fox created a stalemate. Marvel owns the live-action television rights to their comic characters, but they are prohibited from harming Fox's movie rights by creating any kind of confusion that would cause the audience to believe they're connected. Because of that, there was a de facto stalemate where neither side could make TV shows based on the IP that Fox owns the movie rights for without the consent of the other.

I really want to see Enchantress and Shura Gorath. Fing Fang Foom seems impossible.

The funny thing being, IIRC, Marvel *won* all the legal fights the original time around. They just came to an unofficial settlement, because they didn't want the further legal costs ( and at the time, Fox was a *lot* bigger than Marvel ). I strongly suspect that, if Marvel really wished to, they could play chicken and win. They just don't really see the point, not with all the other TV options they have.

Isn't one of the Runaways a mutant? Will be interesting to see what they do there, assuming it's definitely set within the MCU.

I imagine a purely MCU jessica drew would work much like the maximofs everything that doesn't cross over with spiderman explicitly like the USM version and spider verse would be allowed

I think Marvel can use pretty much any character they want. Simple answer is character's tied to properties they don't own the film rights for.

With that being said, certainly if a past apaptation has already been done on a villain or if another studio (be it Tv or movie) is doing then Marvel may shy away from using I think is obvious.

While not familiar with the comics so much I do think the notion of underwater kingdom of Atlantis as well as the Savage Land should be visited at some point but can't see how well they'd fit in a world full of superhero's but would like to see villains from there at 1 point that probably won't appear.

Doesn't matter when Marvel can involve Spiderman in special event movies (Infinity Gauntley, perhaps even adaptation of Secret Wars where black suit found, ect.). Their making him a connected part so a sequel could utilize some sort of event he's involved in similar to how Captain America 3 was Civil War.
