The villain doesn't even have to be from the comics. Maybe you don't like them in general. Maybe you didn't like the way they were written in the movie. Or you could just not like the actor's performance. (Please specify.)

Arnold Schwarzenegger as Mr. Freeze. I like Mr. Freeze and The origin was the BTAS origin, but Arnold was way to campy . Could he had made a good Mr. Freeze without the camp? Maybe .
Nuclear Man in Superman IV, useless. Needed to be Bizarro, not a Bizarro rip-off.
Ross Webster and Gus Gorman Superman 3, they should have had Lex who basically the Webster character was somewhat.

I'm a little confused. Mr. Freeze was the star of Batman & Robin, so how could you like the movie & not like him? Your other picks are also movies that are largely unlikeable.

Yeah. I don't get it either.

I would say Toad. He was more likeable than in the comics, but Toad is largely just laughable to me.
And the campy, over-the-top portrayal of Lex Luthor is a big part of why I don't feel the first 2 Superman movies really stood the test of time.

Mr.Freeze-Too campy beyond words, especially for a character like that.

Two Face- Poor man's Joker with no internal conflict like the character needs to have.

Riddler-hated that he became the Riddler after using that..."smart helmet".

Bane-Simply Bane in name only.Barely even one dimentional.

Poison Ivy-Ugly outfit and completely one dimentional. She did little more than toss fairy dust every 5 minutes she was on screen.

Sabretooth-I understand that this was the first X-Men movie with like a dozen comic book characters brought to the screen but did thet need to water him down that much? I expect the Wolverine solo movie version to be considerably better.

Lex Luthor-Hackman and even more so Spacey were in my opinion doing good with what they were given but my vision of Luther is less campy real estate jerk and more hardcore badass businessman like on the Superman and Justice League animated series.

Typhoid Mary-Great comic book character reduced to only a shell of her on screen potential.

That's all I can think of now.

Oops...I interpreted the question wrong. For the record, I saw just a few minutes on Elektra and didn't care for the mentioned Batman movies. I don't hate them as much as same people and admit that there were good moments with each character somewhere but over all I was really disapointed.

Sabretooth from X-men comes to mind.

Damn does he need to be reinterpreted by another director.

Penguin from Batman Returns (too dark, I mean black saliva?)
Juggernaut from X3 (said way too many crappy lines)
Otis from Superman 1 and 2 (definition of ******ed)
General Zod and co. in Superman 2 (just found them too cheesy)

Dr. Doom in Fantastic Four. (Nothing against Julian McMahon, but I think he played the role way too understated.)

Doc Ock in Spidey 2. (I thought the guy was way overrated. Molina gave a good performance but Ock didn't get enough development or screentime to warrant the praise he got. I liked Willem Dafoe's Norman Osborne a whole lot better)

Tapia in Bad Boys 2. (Well, I wasn't that big of a fan of BB2, but the villian really stunk.)

Bad Guy in Transporter 2. (Thanks Weezerspider for reminding me of Transporter. That guy was boring. The hitwoman was much more interesting and watchable)

Dooku from Star Wars 2 and 3
The Asian Guy from Transporter

Thats all for now, but I can think of more

So Bane was the only thing you didn't like about B&R?

Zorg in the Fifth Element. Gary Oldman is supremely talented, and his performance had just the right amount of an eccentric oil tycoon vibe. Granted, he's a catalyst for the "big ball of evil" to destroy everything, but other than advancing the plot, he didn't do much in the way of real villainy. Very similar to Spacey's Lex Luthor.

Both put out great performances in awesome movies, but seemed underexposed to be the main threat of either film.

Lord Voldemort in Harry Potter Goblet of Fire. I mean for someone who is meant to be the master of dark arts, feared by the entire wizarding community... he can't kill one measly little boy?

A bit pathetic really.

Matt "Nemisis" in Resident Evil: Apocalypse.

Yeah, I didn't really like the over-the-top, slumming stand up comedian Lex Luthor either. It's too bad because Gene Hackman's a good actor and we've seen him play mean, vicious characters in other films, and play them well, so it adds to the shame that he didn't play Lex more straight. I have to agree that the other top Luthor, along with the slow-witted Lois and uber-nerd Clark Kent work against the earlier Superman films (even though they're still better than "Superman Returns").

Elektra sucked in the Daredevil/Elektra adaptations.

Green Goblin in Spider-Man

it's the only villain I didn't like in a movie I did like. Otherwise, if the movie had a bad villain, it just went down with him.

The rogue general in "Die Hard 2". Nowhere near as good as Hans Gruber.

I love The Shadow, but the villains are very weak indeed. A descendant of Ghengis Khan - why not just have Khan himself? Also The Phantom has pathetic bad guys, except 'the Evil' Kabai Singh, who only appears for five minutes.

Supergirl has got such awful villains that it pulls the whole film down. Faye Dunaway looks embarassed.

I was going to say Supeman III has lame villains, but it actually has the best villain of the series - Corrupted Superman.

Phoenix in X-3: Last Stand. The character, or Jansen's acting weren't bad per se, but I wish more had been done with this character. Also, the Brotherhood of Mutants were poorly handled.

Bolivar Trask. Once again, why have the man in the film if he isn't given anything to do. And where were the Sentinels? (Not counting the head at the beginning of the flick)
