Vince Vaughn, Kathryn Newton Topline Chris Landon Body-Swapping Blumhouse Thriller – Deadline

Vince Vaughn and Kathryn Newton are set to star in an untitled body-swapping thriller co-written and directed by Chris Landon. The pic hails from Blumhouse, which has housed a number of Landon’s films including Disturbia, four Paranormal Activity sequels, and the Happy Death Day films. Jason Blum is producing.

Landon wrote the screenplay with Michael Kennedy. After swapping bodies with a deranged serial killer, a young girl in high school discovers she has less than 24 hours before the change becomes permanent.

Oh wow.

Considering this is the Happy Death Day team, I'm sure the comedy will still be there.

It's Christopher Landon, he's gonna make it work.

Looks horrendous from the trailer, watch Shocker instead everyone.

Seems about Blumhouse.

Yeah, trailer wasn’t great. Was expecting something much darker with the humor. Then again, Landon sort of nailed that tone with the first Happy Death Day so hopefully the actual film is a little more deranged.

Looks like a lot of fun. Landon has a strong track record with pretty much this exact type of movie, so I'm confident he'll deliver. And, politics aside, its nice to see Vaughn getting fun roles like this and The Binge again.

They lost me at, "Boys never really noticed me."

Okay, that wasn't really the reason I wasn't into it. I actually liked the part before the switch better. I don't know, the first Happy Death Day was really good so maybe it's better than it looks. It just seemed kind of flat.

This is a pleasant surprise. Looks really fun.

For a moment I thought this was coming to Netflix.

This looks like a fun take on both teen films and horror. Would have been cool to call it Freaky Friday the 13th. Probably legal issues with that name though, lol.

I blind bought it a few weeks ago for cheap and forgot I had it a friend of mine was gonna grab it but I said I had it we should just watch mine. we got some pizza and wings and watched boy were we surprised it was equal parts scary/gory and funny. and I am not sure was better Vince playing the girl or the girl playing the butcher both killed it.
