What was your opinion on the voice acting in this film?
...i guess i'm the only one that actually LIKED Splinter. he didn't sound like a typical random old Japanese man. he sounded like an old Japanese man that i'd actually like to have as a father...
i thought the voice acting was good for the most part. i could've cared less for Sarah Michelle Gellar and Zhang Ziyi. they were both pretty bland to me...

exactly...i think the problem is that everyone has the perception that Splinter is supposed to sound like the typical old Japanese man like he does in the cartoon and past movies but like you said...Mako gave Splinter personality. it's too bad he's not with us anymore...i would've loved to have seen what he can do if a sequel is made (most likely).that's actually an interesting thing you say there. He didn't sound like a typical old Japanese man. Mako's voice has definite personality, a stern warmness -- but he doesn't sound like that cliched Japanese sensei old guy's voice we normally hear in our heads.

I totally agree with you on Splinter. We're not alone dude.
I thought gellar was ok. I liked Casey more than i thought. Ziyi's english is a bit too "Broken /chinese sounding", but i could live with it.
