Contrary to rumors that began spreading right after the trailer hit, the actor providing the ominous voiceover narration is not Benedict Cumberbatch. It is in fact confirmed cast member Andy Serkis. With regards to his character’s allegiance, his words are rather ambiguous.

WHen I first herd it I thought it was Serkis

at first i thought it was Liam Neeson! but even during the first viewing of the trailer shortly realized it wasn't

That's surprising. I could swear that's Adam Driver's voice.

If that's true, Serkis has impressive range! It does sound similar to his Witch King voice.

I wonder if he'll be doing a live action role or motion capture. Or both.
