Was in Wal-Mart today and noticed they have released collector editions of Transformers on DVD. They come eith a mask, or the 2 disk Special Edition has a box that transforms into Megatron. The interesting thing is that they come with access to exclusive walmart.com set footage from Revenge of the Fallen. Was wondering if anyone ehre had seen this, gotten this, or even found it online.

Saw it too but I wasn't going to spend the money to buy this again. I would like to know what is on this as well.

Not yet as it came out today for sale. I posted something in the news topic, from someone over at TFW2005 about Wal-Mart and ROTF footage.

Okay, saw the footage. I saw the three Arcee Bikes, they looked cool. But it didn't seem to me that they were chasing the R8. They just rode past. The army fighting an unseen menace, (one guy had a minigun) was pretty cool too. it is exciting that at least we get some footage now. Trailer hopefully in 2 months too.

Well like i mentioned it says on the site we will get a new video every week! I think they are doing the "blog" thing with this like many films before it have done where they released production videos every few weeks or so.

Was the Shoe called BAYOS? :hehe:

Gotta say i'm confused by the three different coloured bikes...IF Arcee is made up of all three, then what happens if one of them is blown up?....

Could it be that the other two bikes are other characters?

MiniGuns!:word:

Looking forward to the next video, hope it's the same activation code though

I have a pretty good theory about the 3 Arcee bikes. A theory that is born from knowledge of how the production of the TF movies work, and not some random speculation based on "how things worked in G1"...

Trust me, I've been following this film as closely as Dr Lee and Nevermore.

Ok, does anyone remember the behind-the-scenes stuff on the bonus features of the Transformers Movie DVD? There is a part where Aaron Archer talks about the early Ben Procter concept design of Optimus Prime, and how they had to change the wheels because, in the design, they uncoiled. Archer mentions how something like that would have made the production of a toy nearly impossible, so they had to change it.

Ok, most people know that Hasbro has a say in the final movie designs, since they're the ones who have to make the toys - and they need to be do-able. Perhaps making Arcee three bikes solves one of the big problems Hasbro would have with making a toy based on Ben Procter's Arcee concept:

Arceehi-res.jpg

If you look closely, Arcee's two bike wheels split apart. Her knees are two halves of one wheel, while on her shoulders are the other wheel split into four - two quarters in the front, and two in the back (look closely at how her arms go between the wheel halves). Now, Hasbro managed to make a pretty decent Arcee toy the first time around - but they only managed to split one wheel into two, and they had to hide the other in the back - with some clever design work to make it look like she has wheels on her knees, but doesn't really.

Put yourself in Hasbro's place. Making Arcee into three bikes solves three problems at the same time:

1 - Her height is no longer an issue, as she probably will stand as tall as your average car-sized Autobot.

2 - If they release the new toy as three small basic/scout sized bikes packaged into one Voyager box, the bike modes would actually be in-scale with the other vehicles, unlike the deluxe version.

3 - Instead of dealing with the six wheel-parts (two halves and four quarters) of the first design, they can now make a toy with a similar design without having to deal with the problem of wheels that need to roll but still split apart and move to all the right places on a toy.

Her colour scheme should remain pretty much the same, I just hope they don't change the bot design too much. It's really cool, and has already been so well established by the toy and numerous comics she appears in.

So basically she'll be a combiner much like a lot of people have been saying in the past?

God i hope not, i think she will have one mode and its all those bikes combines into ONE bike.

The other two could also be holo bikes. Also in the first G1 series there were more than one chick bot, Optimus goes back to cybertron in an episode and there were a couple, maybe some get blasted up in the first scene?

The R8 to me looks like it let them past on purpose, maybe guarding some hideout or such?

From what i have read, the site isn't up just yet, it takes you there to walmart.com/transformers but it doesn't load anything up yet. Hope to see some footage and screencaps soon.

***** Check it out every week for weekly video updates!

Who knows whats going on but i'm liking what i see so far of the little that we're allowed to see.

EDIT: Thanks, it's been posted though, no biggie.

This is the start of TF2's marketing campaign in my opinion. My guess is from now on we should get something new on TF2 every week.

We may ahve been duped with the talk of November being when the marketing starts....

And for once i don't mind being duped

Most likely in November is when the big official things happen such as trailer. I got a feeling though that we might get a teaser around eagle eye as originally planned. Also we now get a new video every week.

wow acree looks sweeeeet! i think they should stick with the one bike design, three bikes would be stupid, just think - what is one of the bikes gets destroyed by a decepticon? you've lost a part of your body! even worse, one of them could get stuck in traffic haha.
i think they should bring megatron back and make him transform into his gun form, or like a cannon turret or something other than a jet thing.

OT: Nice vids and is the Audi R8 also a TF ???

Well the same would goes for the constructicons. I think Transformers are advanced enough that they would adapt if one of the parts were injured, to a certain extent anyways. 3 bikes combining would be sweet imo. It could turn the tide against Devastator in a fight. Or not, Devastator got his name for a reason. And the Audi R8 is my dream car.

Not really, Michael Bay is promoting this for quite a while.. dated back during the opening of Tropic Thunder (but basically its a theatrical ad on LA Times' Calendar Magazine)

The footage is online and its the first day of shooting in Bethelem and i'm kinda pround to say that's around my area.

LMAO Bayous!

So.. new vid a week .....

What time do you all think it'll be updated today?

Actually, if you check again, they've changed it from "new videos every week" to "new videos for a limited time"

Damn it......
