Is the Transformer Prequel movie any good? I really want to buy the 2-disc set, but I think Wal-Mart is only giving out the prequel movie with the feature-less single disc movie.

It seems pretty cool to have. It's actually animated (cgi, I presume) and Optimus himself actually narrates it. But I don't want to risk ending up with a crappy prequel movie. Or that I'm paying for a little 5 minute short they should have stuck on the special features.

Any body seen it yet?

I came across it in the store this morning, didn't get it.

its probably not great and i doubt it follows the comics and its most likely a device to sell the toys of the transformers that didn't show up in the movie,on that note anyone notice arcee having a toy now?

I got it. Its the comic with voices. Seriously they took pictures from the comic and had the actors read it. Only up side orginal Megs does the voice.

I got it too. Get it only if you want the prequel on dvd. Otherwise, not so much worth it. The movie dvd which it accompanies is only the standard widescreen release (not special edition). The prequel is the prequel comic, narrated, you do get to hear both Peter Cullen and Frank Welker voice Optimus and Megatron respectively, has movie music. (Can we have some real animation next time please!!)

I was a little disapointed. But I figured I'd be picking this movie up twice. Though I thought I'd be getting a better prequil.

Its cool & I liked it but this definitely did not need its own special DVD

Why did the studio or whoever not put this on the 2 Disc Special Edition? Is it not Special enough? It does not make any sense at all, I picked up the 2 Disc, I did look at the Wal-Mart Exclusive but didn't get it since it was packaged with the single disc no extra version, this was really a stupid idea not to put it with the 2 Disc SE.

I like it. Its not perfect but its cool seeing the comic book come to life & they still got Bumblebees music choices down :woot:

I got the Walmart special edition too - wanted to see the prequel... Prolly a waste of $$, but that's ok...

I despise Wal-mart and it's ethics........

I'm sure the prequel will end up on-line at some point...or somone on here could post it.

Agreed, :cwink:

Say did anyone post the prequel on youtube yet, I'm hearing it isn't the best, but I'm not so sure.

Since it was apparently the prequel comic in video form it was nothing new. But I didn't read the comic, so it answered some plot-hole questions.

Mark Ryan the voice actor of Bumblebee is British .

Transformers Beginnings (from Wal-Mart )

I know he's a brit, i meant hearing BB actually talk is weird.

i suggest not to buy it. not worth for the beginnings!!!! i bought it at walmart and then after being disappointed...told my sister to sell it and went to Best Buy and bought the 2 Disk transformers DVD...AWESOMENESS!!!
