What are your opinions on Wal-Mart. Does it kick ass with its large selection or is it an evil force to be reconed with treating its employees like crap and putting mom and pop out of business?

not sure the difference between wal-mart in the u.s. and wal-mart in canada.. but here (in canada) i shop there with no ill feelings for doing it....and i'm pretty sure they get paid more there than we do where i work (value village....which makes a hell of alot more money than you'd imagine).

I live in Canada, and I'd prefer to shop there to get generic items and things than zellers since it looks more prganized and better prices. On the other hand, when I went to the U.S. I noticed that Wal-mart looked dirty and run down (warehouse looking) compared to Target.

I go there because their prices are cheap and it's convenient for me. I couldn't care less how they treat their employees. No one put a gun to their heads and made them apply at Wally-World.

their prices are good, not awesome, and their labor practices are not as good as they should.


they open really late though, there's near here that closes at one, and there's people shopping there at 12:30.......... a lot of people.

The great thing about Wal-Mart is that everything is bargain price, the bad thing this includes the cost of labor. Being a multi-bill company, they shouldn't be such a horrible employer.

Wal-Mart is ruining my malls.
I used to have 2 nice malls to go to.

Sunrise Mall in Massapequa, LI and Broadway Mall in Hicksville, LI

They've both added Walmart and as a result the malls have turned to ****
Sam Goody closed up and now we have the "Holiday Store"

And now theres more poor people walkin around

My father works at Wal-Mart as an accountant, and his pay is fairly good. However, when he was still working his way up the pay was hovering just above minimum wage.

Wal-Mart came up with the evil scheme to include Giant-Man's left hand in the variant version of Wolverine in their exclusive Marvel Legends series. So if you wanted a Giant Man, you had to get two Wolverines.
