Want to be an island bum?

I saw that this morning on my Yahoo page.......

that looks like an AWESOME job!

Just read about it in a Swedish newspaper. Sounds like a dream for someone tired of the Swedish so called winter. :)

If only we could be assured it's not going to go to someone who is already rich and living the beach life.

Haha! Hope they like screening A LOT of candidates!

jag

I saw that on CNN. It is an interesting offer for those earning vry little and who tend to be solitary.

Would hate for it to be an island full of zombie waiting for some fresh brain meat:o

there has to be a catch. like jags "ten deadliest poisonous snakes"

The Catch is that there is hidden Cameras, and they have a Host named Damon Killian.

You need one years prior experience being on a island

I've been living on Great British Isle's for the past 18 years, that should count right?

Hmmmm i suppose it would! and i have 25 years experience then, so i out rank you THE JOBS MINE!!!!

Helloooooooo turtle friends!

Dammit! Maybe you should complain that there needs to be two caretakers? Just not in a Brokeback-kinda way. :oldrazz:

Yeah i could always do with some extra food, when supplies run out..... ummm i mean someone to talk too....

150 grand for 6 months is a good deal. I don't know about diving near the reef with great whites running around and poisonous sea snakes. Not to mention if you get hurt, you are the only one out there.

A 'few minor tasks'?

That is TOO vague for me.:o

Said in my paper that other Marine biologist will be on the island and when you aren't blogging you can help then sort out activities to attract people to the island.....

Other duties may include (but are not limited to)
Feed the fish - There are over 1,500 species of fish living in the Great Barrier Reef. Don’t
worry – you won’t need to feed them all.
Clean the pool - The pool has an automatic filter, but if you happen to see a stray leaf
floating on the surface it’s a great excuse to dive in and enjoy a few laps.
Collect the mail – During your explorations, why not join the aerial postal service for a
day? It’s a great opportunity to get a bird’s eye view of the reef and islands.

Where's the getting laid part?
