This is not another one of my spam threads

Anyway, I have been looking in the last few years at how society has declined for young people, and the creative industry, Yes I am talking about Paris Hilton, Lindsay Loan, Brittany and you know the rest have become the idols of many of the youth and now underage drinking and smoking are all the rage now. But this is clearly not affecting teenage community.
No, the film industry and all creative industries are affected. The media have given (If you come from the UK) Jordan and her boyfriend, soccer players are now worthy enough to have whole books written about them (Which indirectly infects the echo system), Lindesay Loan affects her films by appearing on late on sets etc.

I think it’s about time we stood up and finally said something to these *****es who are not worthy of the money, cars, fame, glamour and lifestyle that they have been given.

To be honest. There is nothing we can do.

They are f**king ********s that just need a kick up the arse...but there is nothing we can do.

Movie stars and rock stars have always been the same. The most we can do is just f**k em

It's our fault. Look around these boards from time to time and count the number of threads dedicated to Paris Hilton or Suri Cruise (famous for being from a celebrity's vagina) or Shiloh Jolie Pitt (the same). Stupid people want stupid reasons to make celebrity out of mediocrity. Good luck making people smarter.

There's too many of 'em,we're out numbered.
Ever watch the people audition for American Idol or any other reality show. :csad:

I am sick to death of reality Television shows.

I watch TV to escape reality. Not to be reminded by it. :cmad:

Now this post of yours.....this one, I agree with.

Ignorance is life's greatest weapon...in some circumstances at least. :o

it's always gonna be that way because the average joe public is a ****ing ****** who sees this kind of thing and goes ooh they're celebrities hence they must be worth a damn. The same with reality tv it's so popular because they think they might get famous one day despite not working for it and being completely talentless. You've got more chance of winning the lottery than making a career off of a reality tv appearance. I think sid vicious said it best

Interviewer: Do you think about the man in the street when you write your songs

Sid: Nio, cause I've met the man in the street and he's a ****!

We could, I mean let's just say a man makes a documentry on the subject, And crictics highly accept it. Then the media will notice this, The documentry becomes increasinly popular and then the media attacks the stars it made.

Prolly have to have someone famous be in it or make it considering critics make money off these people :p

Sweet avatar btw Karem ;)

It's the public who really controls who's famous, what's in style, etc etc.

Stop buying so and so's music if you don't like it, then. Sure, the media can be
influential to children. definitely. But it's also up to thep arents to filter some of these things and teach their kids what's right and what's wrong. But otherwise, it's mostly the consumer who controls things. We have the power in decided what to buy. The problem is, some people seem to get swayed on what to buy just because of the pretty celebrity on tv is doing it.

for the sake of argument but the general public are the stupid ones and the celebrities are the real geniuses for realising the potential in selling themselves and knowing how much money such appearances can do and how it can boost their careers and their glamourous lifestyles.

If you really wish to change it, perhaps you can create a more suitable role model for the youth of today, good luck with that....

the best thing to do would be to ignore it but you fall into the clever trap set up by companies where just as many people 'hate' these idols that actually like them and while you go on complaining about them, that means they still hold an interest in the public light so they keep making and printing stories about them.

so all in all, this thread isn't helping your cause.

Um, I'm sorry, but w/ the creation of this thread, you've already lost the war that you're trying to start; like every one else, YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT THE PEOPLE who you're trying to suppress.

No publicity is bad publicity, so the attention works to the favor of the psuedo-talented recording artist, actor, writer, triple/quadruple threat. When the media does the same thing, it eventually over-saturates the figure, but their career's seem to gain more acclaim from it. I dunno why.

These arguably untalented or less talented people are just taking advantage of prudent marketing and most people's inability to avoid gossip; it boosts their profiles/careers and creates more entertainment opportunities for them. It sucks, but it happens. Quit discussing it. Nothing will change the majority of the public's idiocy when it comes to preference. They're sort of like cattle who are prodded into liking things and they don't seem to mind.

I can't stand this crazy booze-house teen idol worship. It's nothing but a bunch of untalented or barely talented idiots getting attention by making sub-par entertainment, doing drugs, and getting drunk off their asses in public. And the kids eat it all up, too.

They never had crap like this 20 years ago.

...unless you count the Brat Pack, the Coreys, Drew Barrymore, and Robert Downey Jr.
