Talent usually stays within one studio. Sometimes venturing out, but is typically within one studio. With Affleck this has less to do with Batman and more to do with his allegiance to the studio as a Warner Bros. staple director. Batman was more a piece of this already established allegiance.

Well Runner Runner and Gone Girl aren't WB.

Also Tom Hardy said in one interview that WB is his home studio. Of course they do other projects as well.

Well holy ****, finally a great trailer. I did not expect this movie to look so damn interesting. Good Will Hunting was originally a thriller, so it kind of reminds me of that in a way. And the use of Radiohead in any trailer is automatically gonna make it better. This is an intriguing concept and has a lot of potential that can be a hit. Hopefully this is good. This is a movie you don't really see much of these days on a studio level so I'm rooting for it. It's now one of my anticipated films this year.

You just answered your own question. It was filmed after BvS and before Justice League. Naturally he'd still have the physicality from and further built up during BvS plus going further for Justice League. It would be disconcerting if he dropped it and put it back on in that short of time. Do actors sometimes fluctuate a lot? Yeah, but keeping it is healthier than bouncing.

Agreed, I was just expecting a slick action thriller but this looks a bit left field and quite intriguing.
