I can't believe I'm actually saying this, but after I had so much fun with the Transformers movie, I'm actually OK with Michael Bay directing a JLA movie. I've always hated his films, but I'm very impressed with how he made a $150 million dollar movie look like a movie that cost twice that much. Watching the mega destruction FX finale, I thought to myself "this is how you would do a JLA film" And to think it cost over $50 million less than Superman Returns ( I film I loved, but still...it didn't look like a $200 Million + film ) With Warners keen to do the JLA sooner rather than later, and Bay proving he can make a mega effects movie like Transformers far cheaper than similar fare, don't be surprised if Warners extends a very lucrative offer to him in regards to JLA sometime soon. I can only hope he has a producer like Spielberg again to rein him in a bit. Transformers felt more like an 80's era Spielberg flick than a Michael Bay movie, despite the slo mo running through smoke/steam he always has to put in there.
