Warner Bros greenlights Justice League of America

It's okay, you can post it. I dont think Jessica Biel reads these boards.

but some of her fans do ;)

anyway, her face (the lower part of it anyway) kinda reminds me of a horse.

but its just me :o

yeah...I don't think her fans are going to hunt you down and kick you in the face

I keep hearing how crappy of an actress Biel is but damn she's got the look, the physique, and personality. Jessica Alba is the greatest actress in the Fantastic Four (sarcasm) right? Dudes are judging a pretty face and then remembering Blade Trinity which is wrong because Blade Trinity would have been awful without her in it. Not that this counts but I was watching Justice League 2001 version 1st season and Wonder Woman is tall. Liv Tyler does have the dark hair and blue eyes for the part but she's incredibly skinny.

Damn but enought about *Wonder Woman* Im assuming this movie will drop late 08 or early 09.

Forget the SR sequel,WB should just go ahead with this instead of the sequel to SR.

Especially with the recent news of Singer further delaying production.

It's too early for this. The target date should be 2013 after WW, Flash and Green Lantern have all had their own movies.

This movie would cost 300 million but if it's done correctly it could make 3 times that.

Maybe not 300 million , X-MEN HAD PLENTY OF SUPERHEROES and it didn t cost that amount. I m positive they can make it. Bryan Singer did x-men with an acceptable budget so he can do it with JLA :woot:

I don't want Singer anywhere near a JLA movie.

You guys think Routh can compete with Bale as an on-screen presence?

routh had a very gregory peck type thing going on. with a better director and aging, he could be fantastic.

I understand your disappointment with Singer but give the guy a last chance he did good with X-MEN.
and thats why people hate him..
he did good with x-men, but when he got the ****ing flagship.. well.. you know the rest

He did fine with the flagship. All the complaints to stem from the writing. He's a great director and I'd be happy to have him doing a JLA movie.

I'm a Biel fan, but I can see what you mean Steel

When asked about directing a Batman vs. Superman movie during promotion of SR, he said that Batman would have to be the bad guy. :whatever:

If he were to take on the JLA, not only would he have to research Batman, but Flash, GL, WW, Martian and Hawkman/Aquaman...a lil' more research on Superman wouldn't hurt either. :cwink:

X-men was an exception because Singer (being a gay man) responded to the themes of tolerance, prejudice and alienation of mutant kind. He said so himself...

I just don't think the JLA would be his cup of tea.

I know it wouldn't be his thing but if he DID take on the job, I'm saying I'd be pretty cool with it. He has shown to be a very good director. It's just that people keep bringing up problems that stem from the script and not his directing. I think he does fine with characters he's unfamiliar with like The X-men so I don't see why there'd be a problem with the JLA.

As for his statement about Batman, well he's a Superman fanboy so that's expected. :p I'm just glad he's not the one doing the writing.

You do know that just as many people, if not more, liked Superman Returns than hated it.

I'm betting Green Lantern is in the script. He seems one of the characters that Warner Bros. would be absolutely keen to exploit in a venture like this.

Agreed. The directing was fine. It was that boring-ass script that disappointed.

Hopefully the next one will be better. :supes:

Oh God, people are supporting Singer for JLA?

What has this world come to?

You all know he does no research for his characters.

You guys think Routh can compete with Bale as an on-screen presence?
apples and oranges man, i think Routh can hold his own against Bale, although he really will need a good director given that he'sa bit of a n00b. speaking of which so does Bale, i mean he's really good and is a real pro, but i notice he does best when the director is really good too.

^ Exactly.

A JLA movie is looking more and more likely than a sequel to Superman Returns.

And surprisingly, for me at least...Christian Bale shows interest!!!

wow that's the latest comment from him. Jesus Christ, how serious are they with this JLA movie? my cynical side keeps thinking its all a dream, but this feels like a freight train picking up speed.

honestly, i dont want Singer to handle JLA, even if he did well for the X-Men. dont get me wrong i'm an X-Men supporter from the get go, but JLA just isnt something for Singer. besides, last thing i want to happen is for the League to wear matching black jumpsuits ;)

dude Green Lantern= Lord of the Rings + Star Wars :woot::up:

I can't believe I'm actually saying this, but after I had so much fun with the Transformers movie, I'm actually OK with Michael Bay directing a JLA movie. I've always hated his films, but I'm very impressed with how he made a $150 million dollar movie look like a movie that cost twice that much. Watching the mega destruction FX finale, I thought to myself "this is how you would do a JLA film" And to think it cost over $50 million less than Superman Returns ( I film I loved, but still...it didn't look like a $200 Million + film ) With Warners keen to do the JLA sooner rather than later, and Bay proving he can make a mega effects movie like Transformers far cheaper than similar fare, don't be surprised if Warners extends a very lucrative offer to him in regards to JLA sometime soon. I can only hope he has a producer like Spielberg again to rein him in a bit. Transformers felt more like an 80's era Spielberg flick than a Michael Bay movie, despite the slo mo running through smoke/steam he always has to put in there.

easy there Lestat. i understand the excitement, but you do know that a JLA movie is more than just slam bang action flick right?

I'm a HUGE fan of Singer's, but he's all wrong for JLA. Not sure who my top choice for director would be, but Proyas is up there
