Was the "landings" on the moon faked?

I like to pretend I'm an astronaut.

It happened in some nerd's basement, just like Star Trek. :p

no, it wasnt faked, the moon is easy to get and land on

I don't think we were on the moon in the 60's. How could we televise it? Now today, we have the technology and we can televise it.

I really don't give a ****. If I go there, then it wasn't fake. If I don't, I'll continue not to give a ****.

No, it wasn't fake. I had a prof who debunked all that **** a year and a half ago... but I forget most of what he said. In any case though, my prof was better than the crazy conspiracy theorists. (Some of my profs haven't been, but that one was.)

The smurfs are the ****in' KKK, man. I'm tellin' ya!!!

*hauls down a smoke.

They didn't fake it, but I think they did doctor photos (if for no other reason than to make them look more impressive for the public. That accounts for many of arguments I've heard, which often inconsistencies in the photographic record.

One thing I don't understand is how we can barely get a good video feed from a space shuttle in 2006, but we had a clear (reasonably clear) one for the moon landing. I don't think they faked it, but this boggles me.

I think the Americans might have landed, but if it was proven that they did not.It would not suprise me,The Soviets were the first in space.Yes,America, there was something you did not do first.

And America was anxious,i could belive the whole thing was hoaxed just to show that the USA was still powerful.

 Blasphemy!!!:down

:p

WHat about the The Van Allen radiation belt?

http://www.reference.com/browse/wiki/Van_Allen_radiation_belt

Solar cells, integrated circuits, and sensors can be damaged by radiation. In 1962, the Van Allen belts were temporarily amplified by a high-altitude nuclear explosion and several satellites ceased operation. Magnetic storms occasionally damage electronic components on spacecraft. Miniaturization and digitization of electronics and logic circuits have made satellites more vulnerable to radiation, as incoming ions may be as large as the circuit's charge. The Hubble Space Telescope, among other satellites, often has its sensors turned off when passing through regions of intense radiation.

Here is my question..If it was so easy in the 60's to go the moon...why have we not been back?

Also has anyone with a telescope seen our flag on the moon?

The moon is just under the size of the United States. imagin trying to pick out a flag in the united states from a quarter of a million miles away. That's craziness. I don't think anyone has ever done that. It would be cool to see though.

And the reason we have not gone back is... One, its very very costly. Two we know alot from those previous trips. Three, getting to the moon was far from "easy". You will notice that it took eleven Apollos to finally get someone on the moon and even after that, there was a failed mission (apollo 13). Finally, there are plans to stick some people on the moon by sometime around 2018. NASA is already working on a better rocket to reach the moon.

Obviously, I do believe there were people on the moon. The most stupid argument I have ever heard is "Well how is the flag flying?" If you look in a textbook, such as a school science book, you will see that there is a rod extending from the flag pole and expands the flag to its full span.

Were the "landings"...
Was the "landing"...

And no, they were not faked.

Yeah Superman put the American Flag back there.

You know, you seem like a pretty good guy otherwise, but your taking every opportunity to bash America nearly every time you post is becoming tiresome, man. We get it. You hate America. No need to repeat it over and over and over and over and over and over...

Cheers,
