Wasting Venom?

From new rumors and scoops I keep hearing Venom is in the movie 10 minutes!!!!!!! What the f'n hell!!??!!!

This is all do to Raimi being pushed into Venom?

Will Venom be set up for part 4?? Or did I hear Avi Arad say Eddie Brock's symbiote will only be in Spider-Man 3?

Does anyone have any solid evidence of Venom being in Spider-Man 4.

The symbiote escapes at the end of the movie,but Brock/Venom dies in it,and Venom is in the last part of the movie fighting,but it could be more than 10 minutes.

Who the Fudge Care's. The ones to blame for the push is the fans, I have posted my resons why on another thread. But honestly its to late to change anything he (venom/sym) will be in the film for what ever amount of time.

^Just look at X-3,not everyone's favorite characters will get as much screen time as they wish they did.

I think Sam doesnt really like Venom/symbiote storylines but Sony pushed for it to appear in this movie. Sam finds the aliensuit/Parker side of the story to be interesting, which is what i think this movie will focus on. If Venom only appears for 10 minutes in the movie then thats i guess Sam's way of slapping Sony in the face for pushing these 80s/90s villians too soon.

Hello?? By that theory (that Sony can control Sam) then Sony wouldn't mind Venom in the movie for only 10 minutes. You think that if they can make Sam put the symbiote/Venom in it, that they might be able to also determine how much Venom we can get??

If Raimi is working off of a good screenplay, then Venom is going to get whatever amount of screen time for whatever reasons. I'm sure everything will be justified in the end product.

He wrote the story with his brother, Ivan. The screenplay is by Alvin Sargent, who did SM2.

You know, I get the feeling that Sam probably wanted only one villian which was Sandman , but that the studio wanted Venom and maybe some another villians . He wasn't very keen on doing the character and the fact that he's only in the last 10 minutes kinda clinces it for me . Who knows , it may not be his idea to have this "fourth villian" as well .

I also think he wanted to go another direction with Harry other then the comics version. I'm not sure he wanted Harry to become a goblin at first. It appears he's changed his mind . I know we saw Harry finding the hideout at the end of S2 , but I think Raimi might have wanted more of a character struggle which I'm not sure he's gonna get for this one.

Now I'm just speculating but that's what I think.

I have no problem with Sandman. Hes not that deep of a character and mostly he will just be used in order to show off some good GFX. Had this movie only included GG2 and Sandman then it will be great. I speculated on SM3 possibly having a black suit wayyyyyy back in 2004, if the execs really wanted to slowly push Venom into these movies. Now its coming to fruitation, im not really sure if its fitting in too well. For Venom to be a villian they really have to have Topher play a good Brock and be able to make him really HATE Spiderman/Parker. I just.... cant picture that being done on screen in a series like this where we already have the whole Parker vs Harry thing set up from the last 2 movies.

Has it been officially stated, I mean I think I've been keeping up on official reports as well as anyone and nowhere did I hear anything stated about the nature of Venom's inclusion in the movie and whether he's just gunna be there for that time. I never ever subscribe to rumors because way over 2/3s of them are ALWAYS wrong. I mean honestly, with the way Raimi has been doing the movies, do you really think it makes sense for him to throw something in their for the hell of it? He's a story teller not a cheap thrill giver. I honestly don't believe Venom will be wasted like that, I think he'll do something horrendous to effect Spider-man's life that leaves 4 open for a vengeance battle. Only a theory but I don't subscribe to the idea that Raimi's so stupid that he'll give Venom one short battle before totally tossing him out. Even if he doesn't like the character he wouldn't hurt his own movie that way, he'd work it in the best way possible.

You can't just expect Venom to show up. First the symbiote has to show up (come to earth via outer space or however they chose to explain it) & then they have to cover Peter's struggle with the symbiote suit. Then they flesh out the relationship between Peter & Eddie & explain their rivalry & how Eddie came to hate Peter so much & eventually Eddie gets the suit & becomes Venom. 10 minutes will be a short time for Venom in the movie, but hopefully we will get more of him in Spider-Man 4.
