A prequel to the original graphic novel.

"The game will naturally flesh out many of the brief flashbacks hinted at in the graphic novel and will help fill in blanks for the upcoming film when they hit Xbox Live Arcade and Playstation Network next year."

From IGN:

"This action-brawler acts as the prequel to the story in the Watchmen graphic novels and movie. Taking place in an alternate history of the 1980s, the game stars the two masked vigilantes Rorschach and Nite Owl, and features a co-operative mode so that players can team up to beat down the bad guys."

unless the story is penned by alan moore himself, i'm probably not going to pick this up. Smells like a movie-milking game playing on the movie's eventual release.

If it has good style, there's no reason this can't be a great brawler.

and don't forget, you can always just pretend it doesn't exist

If it's good I'll get it. And being able to beat the s**t out of people as Rorshach should be awesome.

I don't understand how Rorschach will translate into a video game. He wasn't exactly an action hero, I mean he was tough as nails and all and resourceful with a lighter and some hair spray, but I really don't think I can imagine him running through streets giving the beat down to enemies.

I mean, I'll still get it, but it'll probably be a fairly poorly made game.

Looks pretty cool. Plus, being that i dont care about the Watchmen, if they completely s**t on the name i wont care and ill still be able to enjoy the game(if its good that is.)

LOL, that applies to every single video game based on a movie. Ever.

Dont know what to think about this....

It looks like it can be entertaining.

I mean, it won't be anything beyond a beat em up.

But if it's a good beat em up....that's okay.

Guess no one really cares but the game is up on XBL.

I just played the demo and i think its pretty fun. Kicking ass as Rorshach is pretty cool. Dont know if its worth 20 bux tho. Still, its neat.

IGN gave it a 5.5 out of 10. Said it's repetitive and stiff and not that much fun, and it's 2-3 hours long. The graphics are really good for an XBLA game though.

Oh yea, i think it looks really good and the slow mo, attacks that Rorschach does look really cool. I can deff see how it'd get repetitive as it got that way in just the demo. Id buy it, but not for 20 bux, or 10, but like 3 or 5.

Appearently this is the first set of Watchment games & there will be more games where you play as the other Watchmen

I love the old school beat'em up games. This is essentially a 3D new school beat'em up. Played the first two stages and I love it, well worth the purchase. The graphics are indeed excellent for a download only game.

The demo sucked. The controls were really bad and sluggish. Have no interest in this

You really think it's worth 20 bucks? Lost and Damned is 20 bucks, and it's 10-12 hours long. This is 2-3.

I think any mediocre game is worth only 20 bucks or less, downloadable or not.

I'd say a 20 buck expansion pack that's 12 hours long is definitely more worth the price [Is L&D even an expansion or a game of its own?].
