I was thinking about this a lot today, and right now we are seeing the collapse of Batman...to society, but what about Wayne Enterprises will this be a mirror showing that batman and bruce wayne are one in the same?

It'd be really interesting I think, and as of right now Wayne enterprises is just a titan.

Good idea. I think its a bit cliché,but I like it.

I don't see it happening. WE is a port in a storm, it's profitable, has honest business practices, and employs the bulk of the city's population directly or indirectly. WE is what keeps the city working.

Agreed. Plus this movie shouldn't be Wall Street 2. Thats a whole different movie.

I doubt it'd become all about Wayne Enterprises...to call it wall street 2...

but I assume you exaggerate, but I can really see this taking off since it hasn't been looked at, and probably the one route Iron man hasn't gone nor has really been done in a super hero movie at all...plus with the recession that just happened.

So how would you tie it into the overall story? What would be its relevance?

In relation to batman, it'd be a good theme bringing everything down around him, you have someone like penguin(or even Roman Sionis) being the alternative business trying to take over through the corrupt system, hell you could even have riddler being the one bringing down wayne enterprises.

What if the bankruptcy is provoked? Caused by an external agent, a villain. Catwoman or Cobblepot, tapping into W.E.'s mainframe and deviating most resources and accounts?

In TDK's viral marketing was mentioned that Wayne E. was the cornerstone of Gotham's economy, that the city would be doomed if the company went down. Maybe it's kind of planned, and I believe Batman 3 should certainly have some economic themes, to keep in touch with today's concerns.

No harm in touching on these themes. TDK made reference to the war on terror and associated issues, Without ever getting bogged down in them, and remained a cracking Batman movie.

I don't see WE gone bust. Bruce may have diffcultly controling the company if Black Mask is in the movie.

Yes I don't wanna go off topic.

Anyway back to WE.

No. If anything, Bruce's life outside of the mask should be great. WE is thriving, everything publicly is going awesome for Wayne. Which makes it even harder for him to keep his PUBLIC mask on, to mask how he's truly feeling about Batman being hunted and hated by EVERYONE in the city. Knowing that everyone loves Bruce Wayne, but everyone hates Batman. It also should see Bruce becoming more charitable. Opening hospitals and centers and stuff. Subconciously making up for the hate of Batman.

But with this deep contradiction, it drives him further into being Batman. Never really making any appearances as Bruce Wayne, spending all his time in his suit, in the new cave, as Batman on the streets. Doing his best to keep helping his city.

Abso-lutely.

And it makes sense too. We all want Bruce to become more involved in taking care of the city as well as defending it and fighting for it.

Just a natural progression.

I really wish there was a way I could submit these ideas to Nolan and Co. Don't want any money, no credit or anything like that.

Just want what's best for this franchise. And to bring a fuller image of Batman to the screen through Nolan's lens.

I like to see Dr. Leslie Thompkins getting involed in this but I like those ideas though

I'd like to see both sides presented here explored at some point in the series, so I can't say I'd complain about either being the case in the next film.

I also like this. Maybe the movie could begin with this and then a big crisis in W.E. emerges, taking Wayne completely out of touch with his public persona and unwilling to deal with it. In any way, I'd like Bruce to finally get closer to that part of his life that was his father's legacy, and not Ra's al Ghul legacy. To be closer to the altruistic philantrope the public Wayne is in the comics, and evolve a bit from the spoiled playboy image he has now.

In fact, by the end of the movie Batman is gone, long live Bruce Wayne.

That is why I would name this movie "Bruce Wayne Begins." Perfect way to end the trilogy!

^ Your brand of sarcasm is sick.

I couldn't resist. Seriously though, those are some good ideas for Bruce Wayne. My biggest fear is that the character might get lost and in fact I thought he did get lost in TDK.
