#1 this is only an adaptation, meaning we wont' see as much as we want
#2 technology is amazing nowadays, however we can't make stuff like sci fi look as real as we would like
#3 dragonball is a way complicated story to tell... i mean is not like we ac replicate it that similar
#4 sadly we are living in a time when everyone is bringing back thousands of all shows (astroboy, marvel, DC, gi joe, you get the point) and we all love it, but the directors and screenwriters in the last years have made contemporanean movies (spuerman, spiderman, with a few exceptions of course) so we have to adapt" the movies to present time, or at least, if it takes place in the past, to relate it somehow
to modern day stories, haven't u noticed the diference between happy time, happy soundtrack, action and suspense of old times compared, to tragedy, unreal suspense, unachieved goals, and huge traumatic soundtrack evolution of today's movies? we all want something that takes our breath away even with comedy and drama movies.
I mean i know i will hate a lot of stuff of this movie, like the yellow looking piccolo, or the goku without tail, and the roshi that's not bald, and the abscence of krilling, the olny good thing about this film is the hair of goku!!! the looks of bulma(though shes not totally purple or green hair - she was purple in the movie they made at the end of the whole saga when they remade the first episodes into the movie... ) and the other amazing thing is chi chi... man i wanna see that and i wanna see the kamehameha.
we should all just sit back enjoy or hate the movie, and wait until someone smarter and with more money and better actors make another dragonball, otherwise they will be making sequels... which wouldnt be as bas as an idea, but imagine if they put a future cell as yellow or purple... then we can be really mad!!!
