But we arent allowed to even open the box, as they are street dated...but they've been shipped and recieved by stores.

I'd heard the grand Hasbro unveilling for their merchandise was the 24th of March is that right?

I'm not really too fussed about the Hasbro SM3 figures, particularly the ones with the ooze but I'm really keen to hear when the titaniums will be released.

I heard they were a bit shorter in height then the previous two lines of SM movie figures...is this true?

the figures are much smaller overall, than the old series, which is dissapointing. I just found them at work, here at wal-mart in Epping, NH. So I bought Venom, and I noticed the other figures details kinda lack too.

That's what i thought....i saw them in a display at Comic con, and they looked smaller..

Oh, well. More money for statues i guess...

The walmart that I work at had them on the shelves today so I picked up the New Goblin and Venom, If I can get pics with my phone (surprisingly I don't have a digicam) I'll post them.

March 24th is the date. My roommate works at Toys R Us and confirmed. I'd try Wal-Mart, they usually put the stuff out.

I really wish the figures were better though. And why not make another Parker, MJ, and a Harry or Brock figure?

I was wondering how some jokers had them for sale on eBay already.

However, I can wait another week to get that new Lizard. ;)

my freind told me the same thing and he gets a discount on it and gets to pick 1st

I bet this will be a big seller.:D

I noticed that Target current has their leftover Spider-Man: Origins figures on clearance price and they seem to be making space in the Marvel toy section for lots of new stuff...wonder what? ;)

My brother went to our local Wal Mart and they had them but they refused to sell them to him when he went to the register. They called a manager and they ended up taking down the whole display and told my bro to come back on the 24th, that it was a mistake and they should not have been put out. The next day he went to a Wal Mart in the next town and he was able to buy them there. ???

So I guess this is what we get with Marvel figures done by Hasbro. =/

Well, those Spider-Man Origins figures don't look too bad.

i have not seen any of the actual movie spiderman 3 figures yet except for these ooze figure which im passing on, although a couple weeks ago i went to walmart and they had a bunch of non-movie spiderman 3 figures, most of which were comic book figures that looked like crap, including the movie versions of goblin and dock ock, which looked a bit better. i had planned on not getting any of these spiderman 3 figures because they were scaled down from the previous toybiz figures, but i actually do see the advantages of haveing smaller figures with ok articulation. i bought the spiderman 1 and 2 green goblin and dock ock, and spiderman, and while the detail on those guys is superb (especially alfred molina figure) they really overdid the articulation and the figures became wet noodles over the first 2 weeks of playing/displaying, which really sucks. these new figures are smaller, and while not as detailed, are detailed just enough and have just enough articulation that makes it easier not only for kids to play with, but for collectors to display and put up without have the articulation make the figure fall every 2 seconds. i do like the smaller scale though.

anyways, i went back to the walmart to pick up the goblin and ock, but ALL the figures were taken away. i guess, like others on here, the walmart employees got word that thery put them out too soon and had to take them back. wow, i guess they are bein pretty strict with these toys. i heard that this saturday is going to be the day that TRU puts out these figures for SM 3. i hope that walmart also gets them in that day too, since they have cheaper prices.

also, i found on ebay a WM exclusive SM black suit figure with great articulation. looks pretty cool!

So, to sum up the Hasbro Spider-Man 3 figure line .... meh.

You can tell they at least tried to match some of the detail of the Marvel Legends figures, but they still fell short.

1. Why are the SM3 figures 1" smaller than the ML series? Hasbro is still releasing ML figures, so why are there two different size figures on the pegs next to each other? Stupid.

2. Not enough articulation. The SM3 figures seem to average 15 to 25 points of articulation. OK, but not up to Toy Biz standards.

3. Lame action features. The Hasbro Lizard has a spring-loaded tail that swings to the right after you pull it back to the left...but then it just stays all the way to the right side of the figure. There's no way to lock the tail in the middle so that it just looks normal when the figure is being displayed. Doc Ock's "tentacle attack" feature doesn't look good because the tentacles are too short.

So, I hope that Hasbro will continue the ML figures and not go over to the format of the SM3 toys, because they're simply not as good.

I wanted to get a Venom figure, but it was about 9 dollars. What the heck? Venom doesn't even have ankle articulation. And KB has these ooze-thing figures (which is just some regular figures packaged with some ooze accessory) for 17 dollars or something? What a ripoff.

What's the big idea here?

I feel your pain. The ooze packs are 21.99 here in Canada. I did pick up a Venom and Symbiote Spidey. I had to, even though the scale is so wrong.

I did pick up the Spidey 3 Superheroe Squad figures. I actually quite like them. I'm looking forward to getting more.

picked up a boatload of stuff including:

2 of the venoms
new goblin
transforming peter parker
black suit spidey
regular spidey
sandman
web shooting spidey
dock ock
green goblin

there not bad, especially the ones without the action features. im lovin black suit spidey, but i made a mistake. the venom thats out now is DARK PURPLE, not black! wtf? BUT, i have heard that they will be releaseing a CORRECT color black venom in a few weeks as a walmart exclsuive, so i would pass on that venom and not make the same mistake that i did.

I hate the fact they are shorter than the Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2 movie figures. They have less detail it seems now. I saw the figures at my local Wal-Mart and was going to buy some of them, but ended up just buying two of New Goblin. They were only $7.97 a piece. He seems like the only cool lookin' one anyway.

I might get Black Suit Spider-Man but I'm not sure.

i was at kb toys earlier today looking for a gift for my fiance (she loves toys just as much as me) and stumbled upon a ****load of Spider-Man toys.

Goblin 2
2 Venom figures
A quick change Spidey
A blacksuit Spidey and "Subway Sandman"
A couple redsuit Spideys

not too mention abunch of misc SPider-Man 3 toys including plushes and the spidey car

AND something you guys might find interesting:

they had several other villian toys in the same package as the SM3 figures(the only difference was the movie spider symbol in place of the "3"). Those figures were as follows:

Movie Goblin 1 (boosting a new figure/glider design)
Movie Doc Ock (had a slighty new design as well)
The Lizard (pretty cool design)
Kraven the Hunter (definatly a new design, compared to the comics and cartoons)
The Rhino (had a robotic look much like the most recent video game)

In terms of the Goblin and DOc Ock, I was torn between appreciating the fact that the toy designers didnt just reuse the old versions for SM1 and 2, and having a feeling like they were cheaply made. However, the Rhino, Lizard and Kraven looked pretty good.

I went to Toys R Us today after class to check it out. I was thrilled that my toys r us had all the SM3 figures except black suit spidey(strike 1) I noticed Venom was an awkward blue (strike 2) then I noticed that they were much shorter/smaller then the SM2 and SM1 figs(strike 3) I never got ticked off because of toys but having these shorter just ruined it. I was hoping to get a really cool Venom and I was mad that he would be too short next to the others.

I did get 2 Cybertron Transformers though :) Rodimus and Grimlock, well, I was planning on to get back into Transformers though so that's my start.

Haven't posted here in awhile. :P

Uh, I picked up a few of the figures and...wow. These things are decent at best. A total step down from what was being previously offered before and...charging the same price as the Marvel Legends is even worse. These things should be $5.99.

I picked up:

- Venom (Web-trap)

He's purple...yet he's black on the back of the packaging. Somewhat decent figure though. Have him choking Spidey on my shelf.

- Symbiote Spider-Man ("Super-articulated")

I really like this one, I just wish it was once inch taller and featured the 42 POA. This is IMO the best figure out of the line.

- Spider-Man ("Super-articulated")

Kinda like this one, they finally got the colors right...but pretty much the same as the above figure.

- New Goblin (Launching disc)

I think this is actually the most articulated figure out of the line. The action feature is absolute crap though. Paint-job is sloppy. Meh.

- Doc Ock

The worst figure out of the bunch I bought. A whooping eight points of articulation. (Minus the claws) The top tentacles aren't poseable and limp to the left. Paint-job sucks. Yuck.

- Green Goblin

Decent scaled-down version of GG from movie one. That's about it.

All in all, the BAF line that's coming out better redeem this garbage Hasbro is charging $7.99 for or I'll quit collecting anything they put out from Marvel and will switch exclusively to the Marvel Minimates.

the first wal-mart I went to did not have any sm3 stuff but the other wal-mart did so I'm ok
