I just read that the House of Representatives has just pissed over small businesses and hundreds and millions of net users, and bowed down to multil-millionaire telecommunications companies to allow them to give web preference to those with big money.

It is becoming ever clearer that politicians do not look out for the interests of the people. They only care about who has the money to back their campaigns. Everything else is irrelevant. It's high time we made politicians realise they are in their positions to serve the people, not the other way around. I want a revolution, for many reasons plus what I stated in the first paragraph. We don't need these greedy bastards, they need us.

There has to be a better system than this.

Yes, we need a socialist system that provides free health care and education.

Yeah... I don't know if you're being sarcastic or not, I don't know why someone would say that trying to be sarcastic, but... yeah, free health care and education = good.

I'm a socialist, and proud of it.

well.....we could always nuke washington and other places

It's the people within the system, more than anything. We need to stop electing greedy little worms who only get into politics for the power.

You people are ****ing IDIOTS. What do you think it is I am using to talk to you right now? The Internet, duh!! **** me.

Wow, you're mature.

I don't think I like your tone, Mr. Damo

well, he's right to an extend the internet issue ist not an american exclusive thing.

It's that damn "owned" phrase. And the "you live in Belfast, you aren't american this can't possibly effect you" argument.

Stupidity pisses me off.

Wow, you must get yourself angry a lot then.

It is quite a problematic issue. I mean what do we want? a world wide web where everyone contributes or a nation wide web where every nation controls what information is avaiable. We currently have a world wide web but how long, that's the question?

On the other hand a nation wide web would be quite a good idea maybe we folks in europe can finally get rid of all the christian website based in the United states ;)

Don't worry

I'm sure there would be plenty of European Christian sites for you to complain about.

One problem is we have a 2-party system. A 3rd party needs to become a top contender in elections. Most of the Democrats and Republicans are extremists to one wing.

Kritish, well done for getting in first with that totally predictible response ;)

Not really, christians don't have much of a say here in europe.

***** and moan all you want about the frivilous things said in this thread, but bored nailed it: it's not the system, it's a large contingent of the people in it who are crooked, greedy and power hungry that cause the issues WE are currently facing. Don't gloss that over with your whining, please. kthxbye.
