here is an essay I wrote for school

Marvel comics as apposed to DC comics

KA-POW, BAM, AND ARGH

These are one of the few things about Marvel and DC comics that are similar.
They both have super heroes, they both have super villains, and they both have painful expletives, other than that, they’re as opposite as up and down.
Marvel comics was created in1933 by Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko, along with a few others who’s names are unknown. The first well known hero they created was
Captain America the patriotic war hero, frozen in ice until thawed out in the modern era.
Other well known Marvel Superheroes are, “Spider-Man, The Fantastic Four, The X-Men, The Incredible Hulk, and Iron Man”.

DC Comics was created in 1934 by Major Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson .
The first well known hero that was part of DC comics was, “Batman”, a vigilante who lived in Gotham city (a fictional city) and fought crime.
Another very well known hero was “superman” an alien (but he looked just like a human).
Superman has super strength, heat vision, x-ray vision, snow breath, the ability to fly, and near invincibility who fought crime in metropolis (another fictional city).

As you can see, DC Comics are very different from Marvel comics, how?
DC comic’s heroes live in fictional cities, whereas Marvel comic’s heroes live in real cities such as New York City. Marvel comics were created in 1933 and DC comics were created in 1934. Marvel comics and dc comics, have both recently had movies made about their comic heroes, while dc comics’ “the dark knight” and “batman begins did well, they are about the only movies DC comics has done well. Whereas Marvel comics has had many successful movies, so much so that they now have their own movie studio
Which recently made top box office movies “iron man” and “the incredible hulk”?


So as you can see Marvel comics and DC comics are very unlike. But, both companies’ always pull through for having good comics! In fact maybe when I get out of school today, I can go pick one up from the book store .Well, I’m your comics comparer, and I will see you next time!
