I was reading an account of the Cobble Hill filming, and I read something interesting:

"I just ran to the deli a block from my apartment and there are little blue signs that Spidy's going to be filming. On Monday. One block from my apartment. The block has the St. Mary's Star of the Sea church on it. A wedding perhaps?"

I don't know if the star has always been there or if it was a spotted set item or what, but yeah... it could make sense to have a wedding scene. I'm not saying that I personally believe so, but it does make for a nice discussion (better than some of these crappy noob threads ). I also think that a scene like that is plausible with all of the recent non-crowd-scene auditions.

Oh, haven't heard that Spider-Man 3 was holding casting calls lately?

"Yes it's real, for those of you who sent me e-mails asking. I did audition for Spiderman 3. Did I get it? You will have t o watch the movie and see."

There's apparently a lot more filming left than I thought.

Yeah, man... this is going to be a long ass film, I'm telling yah!

If Spider-Man 2 was the T2 of the Spider-Man films, then the third will be the Lord of the Rings of the Spider-Man films.

seeing as how this could be the last one the longer the better.... especially with 4 villians

there is a church scene because of the symbiote ;).i guess something like in the cartoon.

I'd say it's likely the church where Pete ditches the symbiote suit and Eddie takes it (this happened in the cartoon and in the comics). Pete & MJ are supposed to get married "on a hill." ;)

true.

Good! This exactly how I invisioned. Peter and MJ are going to get married and like the cartoon Harry comes to crash the ceremony with pumpkin bombs. :spidey: :venom:

Of course this could be where also Eddie becomes Venom. Who knows maybe both ideas will be put into the movie.

i dont think this is where eddie gets the symbiote, there was a thread a couple weeks ago of a church they were filming next to and there were photos of the set they built that looked like the church, it was called grace church if i remember correctly

I can't see them getting married so quickly, unless this film is set 3 years later or something.

You never know what it is and either a marriage or Spidey using the bell to dispose of the symbiote are both possible.

I'm thinking/hoping for the bell scenario

maybe the church could me a mass before the funeral...mj's perhaps... and thats where peter loses the symbiote

I agree, but it is gonna be awesome

I still think Tobey can do one more, and as for a wedding scene it's possible.

If they end the film with Spidey marrying MJ... I'm going to throw up on the nearest child in the theater.

here here, i'll vomit with you and it would be like a coating of vomit rain showering poor little timmy on the 6th row

What? I don't understand lol.

why does everyone seem to think this movie will be overly long? it will be around the same length of SM2, if not shorter. it won't be 3 hours or anything. that's crazy.

"Superman Returns" is 2 hrs and 45 minutes and it cut 15 minutes off to make shorter than 3 hrs so I'm thinking this will be at least 2 hrs and 30 minutes if not than 2 hrs and 45 minutes because you're going to have to cram alot of stuff in and while "X-Men 3" was entertaining the timing was way too fast. Like all of sudden we're here than there and oh no Scott got disintegrated.

raimi will make it as long as need be to fit the story he wants to tell & whether that means an hour and a half or 6 days, I'll be sitting in that cinema with a great bucket of popcorn watching the greatest movie to grace the silver screen, there will be no mary jane democulising, no aunt may lifted off her zimmerframe only to disintergrate in the air, it will tell an epic story with the correct time to fit it all in, Raimi is no amateur nor is he Brett 'Jessica Simpson Video' Ratner...this movie will kick 16 different types of ass

SR is a different case. characters neeed to be esablished. so much needs to be explained. it's a "restart". SM3 is the third movie in the series and the story has been told for 2 movies already.

people who think things will need to be "crammed in" -- no. everything in SM3 fits with the story they are telling. we judt don't know how yet. "OMG THERE ARE 4 VILLAINS!!!" maybe. but they all serve the story. there won't be any rushing, because everything will piece together perfectly.

they've said alot that it should not be considered a remake/restart but a sequel, and from what i've heard they havn't established any characters in the movie, supermans origins are told through very brief flashbacks and they have just played on the original characters as I don't believe theres anyone out there who doesn't know lois or clark etc

yes, picking up where part 2 left off, but characters still need to be established since it's been decades since we've seen them on the big screen, whereas spidey's only been gone a few years. they need to tell the story of where superman was, what happened to lois, etc.

big difference between SM3.

I can guarantee theres going to be a great deal more to explain/establish in this movie than in superman return, think about the set up for spidey 3 they've got the symbiote/brock/gwen/captain stacy/venom/sandman/flint marko/flint's family all new to the franchise & all need to have some form of character development , whereas everyone knows the basis for the superman characters...(btw this is not a complaint on the amount of new things in spidey 3...i'm happy with the additions)
