Did anyone watch the Reelz Zack Snyder interview about Watchmen? They show every once in a while pages from the book, but the dialogue looks like it was put in as a practical joke.

In the scene where Mason is talking to Doc Manhattan (who he refers to as "DM") about how he knows cars and all that, he is shown saying that he can't please his wife because some villain ripped out his testicles a few years back, but luckily, DM responds he would be more than happy to pleasure his wife for him.

In another, the Comedian refers to himself in the third person, and calls DM a pinko! Is this a gag? What happened here?

Weird. I'm looking at my copy of the book right now and that's not the same dialogue. Must be a joke or something.

Those are a few of the dummy pages taken from the Just Imagine Stan Lee's WATCHMEN spoof that did the rounds a while back and which you can check out in its entirety here:

I'll give the good folks over at Reelz the benefit of the doubt and assume that they deliberately inserted them just for fun, and that it's not their research skills that leave a lot to be desired...

Interesting. Never heard of that Stan Lee spoof before.

Imagining Stan Lee writing Watchmen sounds terrible. Sure he wrote many great books but just no.
