Do you think Marvel should keep focusing on making movies based on well known characters, or should they make movies on lesser known characters?

I think they should ultimately focus on any character that can adapt well to the screen. For the time being, my biggest concern is that the whole"comic book movie" now has a stigma since there hasnt been critically successful albeit the first X-Men movies, the Spiderman movies, and Batman Begins. I feel there are a lot of people (maybe its just on my end, that is New England) where people see commercials for Ghost Rider and sigh, "great another superhero movie." when there are tones of properties that arnt superhero (like Sin City, 300, and Road to Perdition) Im glad they are filming or at least planning 30 Days of Night and Watchmen, but I think it is time to take it in a new direction.

I think they should focus on less known characters, because of the following reasons:
I think they could be more creative to the look and to the storyline.
Blade is an example, is modern look in games and new comics is based in the films and has nothing to do with his first comic appearence: Tomb of Dracula.
He looks cooler too.
Most of the Marvel movies had bad critics not just for bad acting or bad storyline but because they wasn´t very close to the comics (Hulk is the best example for this).
I think they make to many movies based on known heroes, I know this is all because of money but I don´t think that lesser knowns would make much money like the others, see Ghost Rider or Blade they aren´t well known like the others and earn very much.
I would like to see an Black Panter or an Dr. Strange movie that would be awesome.

I think they should do more lesse known characters into movies. But they need to focus on making it good. Much like they did with Blade. Blade would be a good example, and for a bad Example I will use Man Thing.

The most succesful Marvel franchises made to movie are Spider-Man and X-Men. Ghost Rider earnings had plummeted sharply after the initial 2 weeks. So the hypothesis of making movies on lesser known heroes instead the famous ones doesn't exactly hold true.

I like the idea of making movie on heroes that are adaptable for movie audience. Spider-Man with his bright red costume and kid-friendly joviality is a perfect example. Daredevil with his brooding comic tone is not as perfect. Both Hulk and Iron Man would almost certainly need big budget for people to take it seriously.

I think they should make animated movies for TV and animated TV shows about the lesser knowns. I would like to see that. maybe have a series or TV movie, animated, about some obscure Marvel character like Herculese or Doc Samson, or Darkhawk, the Exiles. (not that these guys are real obscure, just that I don't see big screen movies for them in the future) Or perhaps a better known comic like Nick Fury of SHEILD or the Inhumans.

What I would LOVE to see is a big budget animated movie, of theaters, instead of a live action movie. All done in the hand drawn animation style like Disney films, and flowing animation. Maybe for something like the Avengers or Secret War.
big budget

I think the Animation world is a market Marvel could really use for their characters, they could put a number of them out there.

give the leeser known heroes some action

I like the idea of making movie on heroes that are adaptable for movie audience.

Bingo! A flaming skull on a hell's angel body wont be taken seriously ever. When I saw the trailer at the theater, the entire audience was laughing.

Although, I would think that this theory would help Fantastic Four, but I think there were other reasons for this failing (mostly the conscious decision not to adapt it faithfully although I do feel they got the relationships right, and Chiklis and Evans ruled in that movie).
