What about the comics?

I was wonderin that myself. Didn't it used to be a permanent thing on here?

Indeed. It seems that a good lot of fans forget that it's the comics that are the original and primary source for Batman and his universe.

We used to have a Batman comics forum and a Misc Batman movie forum. They merged them both into this Batman world forum.

Even when there was a separate comics section here in the batboards hardly anybody visited and contributed to it. I know because I used to check it out and it was always a ghost town even when I did post. So most people weren't encouraged to keep going there and I'm sure just gave up on it if they were even interested in the first place.

Me personally? if I want to talk about Batman or other DC Comics I just go to the comics section here on SHH and post in the DC forums there. But even then the traffic there is slower than most other sections in this community. It gets even worse if I want to discuss comic books not published by the big 2.

The fact is 90% of the people who post on SHH are just interested in superhero movies. Where as to someone like me superhero movies are the least interesting elements of these characters. But then I'm hard pressed to find lengthy discussions on comic books on here by proxy of most posters here NOT being regular comic book readers so I just bite the bullet whenever I'm on here.

Anyone else reading the New 52 B-man Year Zero right now?

I said the same thing about it too. There is just more movies and TV shows. But if you want a comic book forum website, you should look into Comic Book Resources. Not a bad place. They have more forums of comic books.

^ Yeah that place is pretty legit. Been lurking there on and off for over 10 years & recently saw some familiar & intelligent posters who used to frequent the hype are now posting or modding over there. I never did create an account there though funnily enough.

Anyway I'm enjoying Zero Year. It's actually what got me buying the flagship book again after dropping it due to great disappointment in both Night of the Owls and especially Death of the Family. Snyder now seems to be fine tuning a lot of the flaws he had on those arcs in the new one though. The pacing is more crisp and the dialogue less hackneyed. I particularly really like the way he's writing Edward Nygma and Red Hood #1.
