Part 2.

Let's go away from big cities, to the American outbacks.

There are dense forests, canyons, lakes, hills, streams, desolated roads... everything one can think of.

What state has the greatest nature scenery depicted in films (NOT counting real-life)

The winners will meet in a finale soon.

It's hard to know where films were shot unless one looks it up.

I go with
Kentucky
Iowa
Oklaoma
Utah (thanks to Kahran Ramsus)
Wyoming
Idaho
and
California (possibly the most beautiful seaside located state)

But to be honest, all the states deserve a vote

Now I've got a question. When a film is not only shot in New Jersey but also takes place there, why are characters mostly calling it a lousy place?

And here's my vote to Utah that I talked about in the previous thread. Utah is the home of a great many breathtaking westerns over the years from John Ford to Sergio Leone. There are certainly some other good choices on this list. Alaska is another standout, as is North Carolina (The Last of the Mohicans is a good choice if you want to see what North Carolina has to offer), but I don't think it gets any better than Monument Valley, the Bonneville Salt Flats, and the rest that Utah has to offer.
