Ok, films about Irish people or Irish mythical creatures are acceptable. Leprechauns and so forth. I certainly wouldn't put "Leprechaun" at the top of the list, but I'm having difficulty figuring out exactly what should be on the list. So folks, what films do you nominate for a "St. Patrick's Day" film fest?

Well Leperchaun is on the list I wouldn't say at the top and I don't mean the Sequels the 1st Leperchaun movie was at best decent the rest well don't even bother putting those on.

There was actually out in 1997 called St. Patrick's Day

I actually found a list out there

Darby O'Gill and the Little People (1959)
The Secret of Roan Inish (1994)
The Quiet Man (1952)
Finian's Rainbow (1968)
This is My Father (1998)
The MatchMaker (1997)
The Magical Legend of the Leprechauns (1999)
St. Patrick's Day (2001)
St. Patrick: The Irish Legend (2000)
Three Wishes for Jamie (1987)
The Leprechaun's Christmas Gold (1981)
Luck of the Irish (2001)
A Very Unlucky Leprechaun (1998)
The Last Leprechaun (1998)

I've actually seen the Darby O'Gill movie once, on T.V. - I hadn't realized it was that old. It was quite cute, it get's my nomination (as I can't claim to have watched any of the others on that list)

The Departed

^ That's right, I totally forgot about the "St. Patrick's Day" parade scene in The Fugitive. And it was a truly pivotal scene in the movie too.

I wholeheartedly agree with The Boondock Saints and The Departed.

Also, it's not a movie, but I highly recommend picking up The Black Donnellys Complete Series DVD. It's just as good as a movie. It still pisses me off to no avail that the networks didn't even give that show a fair chance when we've been forced to endure crap like "ER" and "Ugly Betty."

I think The Breakup has some St. Patty's day references.
