What are the chances of us getting another live-action film?

HEY! I'm happy that we're getting a movie, but a live-action one would have been better. Not that I have anything against animation. Simply. . .I used to love those live-action flicks back in the early `90s.

I'm not holding my breath.

I look forward to the new CG features with share continuity with the live action movies.

I look forward to it as well. It just kind of sucks that John Woo never got to make his live-action version. I'm sure it would have been great.

I think John Woo wanted to make a CG movie, not a live action one.

Honestly, the Turtles seem a bit more suited to CGI than life action to me (not that I have anything against the live action movies). Obviously the quality of the CGI is a concern, but they looked good enough in the trailer, I thought.

Yep. John Woo's TMNT was gonna be a CG movie.

he was going to use cg turtles, but in a live action environment with real actors playing human roles. the turtles would've been played by real actors on set wearing mo-cap suits and then replaced digitally.

Now that would've been cool to see.

Provide it was Gollum/King Kong CGI rather than Scooby Doo.

i was really looking forward to it when rumor mill for it was going strong. i also think that if a studio was willing to spend the money, live action turtles nowadays would be amazing. look at how light and flexible the suits were in 1990, now think of modern materials and sculpting techniques. the animatronic head pieces would be a lot cooler as well.

If they ever try a live action film again, they'd have to be sure to get either Jim Henson Studios to do the suits or Stan Winston. Otherwise, they shouldn't bother and stick to the CGI.

Yeah, I don't wanna see CGI turtles. I wanna see the Jim Henson suits that they did in the first three films. OR get Stan Winston who's a genuis when it comes to these things.

So, yeah, I agree it would be awesome.

Very, very, very, very, very small. CGI is the new thing and animatronics are a dying breed.

I agree.

ehh...who needs another one? we've had plenty. tired of these characters getting recycled over and ove again. How about some new characters for a change?

not very likely--no one would agree to do another live action turtles film according to the recent interviews from comic con. apparently they could barely get someone to sign off on this new CGI one as well.

Damn you Hollywood, and your lack of faith in the turtles

...new Turtles?

just imagine stan winston's turtles. you know what would be amazing? if a huge fane hit the lottery or something along those lines, and made a black & white, R rated turtle flick with stan winston on board (i've heard in interviews that if he wants to do a project he significantly lowers his pay). i know it's a ridiculous pipe dream, but still, it would be incredible.

Nah, just new characters, period. New franchises. I'm tired of seeing the same recycled stuff for so many years now. I mean, really, do we NEED another Ninja Turtles movie, when they pretty much nailed it with the first one?

Oh man would I love a new version of the live-action film...I was dreaming about it today, maybe Corey Feldman will do another voice, lol.

Some would say yes, me being one of them. I've missed the TMNT.

Did we really need another Batman movie? Do we really need another Superman movie? Do they really need to keep writing stories for the characters in the comics? Do we really need to watch another sporting event? Because, when you have seen it once...you've seen it all. Yeah right. There are still plenty of new stories and new things to do, for any character.

Well, the only Live Action film that felt truly "real" was the first one. They got the lighting perfect, etc. I don't know if anyone can really make it look good. But what I had envisioned was John Woo's idea. Of the live action, but with CGI turtles in real world enviornments. To be honest, they can make more compelling action scenes etc. with CGI now. It is the way to go. That isn't to say the action scenes weren't good in the first trilogy. Cause they were awesome.

Just look how good this is, you can't beat it:

TMNT 1990 is one of the best comic book films, EVER. Top 5, for sure. It nailed, everything.

You make a good point. We all have our favorites. TMNT isn't a franchise I'd consider timeless (it feels very late 80's/early 90's), but who knows? Maybe this will garner new fans and get everyone hyped.

I still want to see something new, however, in the future. As much as I like my favorites, I'd like to see these genres branch out a bit.

Dude, i would love to see a new tmnt movie...like a real film.
