Just wondering what your biggest fears for this movie are.

Mine are as follows.

1. Heath Ledger being cast as the Joker I know some people like it but I am very iffy on this it just seems like a bad choice but I would like to think that Nolan knows what he is doing so im worried here.

2. The look of the Joker it has been mentioned alot that he might not even look like the Joker so this scares me if he doesn't look like the Joker in a way that takes away from his charectre all togather.

3. For me the best thing about begins was the begining the whole origin and thats what made the whole story so compelling for me I thought when it came to the big hero time for Batman he sort of disapointed a little bit (don't get me wrong I still liked it but it just wasn't as good as I hoped from the first half of the movie). So with out the origin story can this still be a great movie or will it just be a decent Batman flick ?

4. Most of the possiblitys of Two face seem to scare me alot of the people being rumored really make me worry about the film. I mean as much as I don't like Ledger as Joker I think Phelipee as dent would be even worse.

5. I really hope the Tumbler isn't in this one or at least the look of it has changed a little bit but I could tolerate it if it's the same.

6. They were talking about redoing the house at the end of the movie hinting at a Batcave I fear a little bit that they might go a little to over the top with it and might try to go to far and do to much to soon. Though I doubt this will Happen Nolan seems to be good at keeping it slightly more grounded to reality than the other movies.

7. Finally one for now. Im scared that the Joker will have a pretty small part even though he is Batman's greatest villian. I mean I thought they put way to much Joker in 89 but there are rumors that Joker won't even be in the first half of this film I hope he comes of stronger than Scarcrow or Falconie did.

Any way's what are you guys scared of about this movie what has you a little bit worried. Sorry for the errors it's late I hope you can make sense of this.

My only fear is that The Joker will not look Joker-ish enough. He doesn't need to look like the '60s TV Joker but he should have white skin and green hair...or at least green hair.

I think it's far too soon to be worried about anything.

If I had to choose something, I'd say the Phillipe as Dent thing...but that's just because I don't like Ryan Phillipe. But whatever. I'll deal.

Ledger is a damn fine actor and I'm quite comfy with Chris Nolan calling the shots. I seriously doubt he's gonna "go overboard" and line the batsuit with neon, or whatever.

This series is is fine hands, as far as I'm concerned.

I fear the nightmares these boards will give me when fanboys start complaining that ''teh movie sucks cuz heath is gay'' and all that. OH WAIT, WE'VE SEEN THAT!!

I don't care if Heath played a gay guy in one movie. I am just not a big fan of his and im not sure if he could pull it off.

My biggest fear?

That all the goddamn whiney fanboys will *****, and *****, and ***** and ***** about every little thing.

Oh wait, that's what will happen anyway.

Yup I had the same concern, but he's not a bad actor, he's just picked projects that didn't quite work except for Brokeback Mountain, The Four Feathers, etc. The rationalization for his casting was that he's not played a part like this before....I think it could lead to something very interesting.

Thanks for not being a dick about the posting and actually talking like a decent person. Im not a big fan of him as an actor. If he pulls this part off though I will be this is a big challenge I don't think any of his other parts were all that challenging I mean none of them were really that far a part as far as the basica charectre goes. I hope he does great and if he does ill praise him and admit I was wrong I just have this bad feeling in my chest that it will go bad but I could be wrong.

The only thing by Ledger I ever liked was A Knights Tale I thought that was a pretty good movie.

1. The Joker's look. As KoD said, he doesn't need to be 60s Joker, but he at least needs the essentials.

2. TDK being too much a Nolan movie and too little a Batman movie - much in the same way Burton went to far (IMO) with Batman Returns.

And that's it, really. Besides that I really don't have any complaints or concerns. There's things I'd like to see, I would be (slightly) disappointed not to see them, but those are nowhere fears.

Yea some of the things I posted were not really fears but more just things I am a little concerned about I just didn't want to only post two things.

Yeah it was a fun little summer flick. This role certainly has the potential to change his career and it will most likely, especially if he nails it as good as I'm hoping for. Look, I think that when you go to the movies, you need to keep an open mind. That's why you don't see me on the Superman Returns hate bandwagon or anything (apart from the fact that I really liked that movie.) If Nolan sees him fit to play the role, I'll play along.

I understand completely. Everyone is differant. I can completely undrestand some people supporting Ledger he isn't a horrible actor I think he is a little overrated but thats my opinion. I have fears about it but I will still go see the movie and I am still open to the fact that he may impress me. I have been wrong about actors before and I may again. Hell I didn't think Hugh Jackmen could pull off wolverine but he did and I thought Tobby was horrible choice for Spidey but he did pretty good I still think other could of been better but he was certainly good at the part.

scared that Hans Zimmer won't come back to compose the music...

I'm worried that they'll cast a recognizable sitcom actor as a villian that has no buisness being in the movie.

Oh wait, that's Spider-Man 3.

Topher is a pretty decent actor and Im glad to see him in it my only concern is that he is a little small to play Eddie Brock. Just because he was in a sitcom doesn't mean he can't act. I think he is a very good actor he can do so much with just the looks on his face and I love how expressive he is while acting.

Although I don't believe that it will... there is still that twinge of fear that history will repeat itself. Burton did great in '89 but killed in B.R. Then Schumacher did pretty good in Forever but absolutely butchered in B & R.
(I just realized that both of the director's second films have the same intials. You know what... forget that I just said that.) But I have to just think about Begins and how wonderful it was. It was better than any of the previous Bat-films. Also... this is not a part of the Burton/Schumacher series, so that gives us a little hope that history will NOT repeat itself.
As far as Heath Ledger... I love the idea. As far as Phillippe... he wouldn't be my very first choice, but oh well.

I'm scared that we wont get to see Batman "get lost in this monster" of his.
And, actually, im hoping we see more of Dent than the Joker in TDK.
I'd rather the final film resolve the conflict between Joker and Batman.

The third film will be about Two Face and Batman I doubt the Joker will even make an apperance.

Im just saying look at it this way. As over the top as Batman 89 was Burton went even more over the top with Returns and so did Joel S (S is for Stupid) I just don't want Nolan to try to go to over the top I mean I know he will never get as bad as the other franchise did but he might go further than this one should go. I loved Batman Begins but I am not going to just blindly expect nolan to do the right thing every time people screw up and people do things that we don't always agree with. Hell maybe the fans got to him and he saw that there was alot of *****ing about him trying to hard to make it grounded in reality so he could go out and add a little more fantasy. It is just a fear.

- Katie Holmes again.
- Cillian Murphy again (I'm not against the Scarecrow himself)
- Action scenes that look like Blair Witch Project again.
- One liners.
- Someone saying "Why do we fall?" or "fear" again.
