Sequels What are your preferred costumes for X-Men 7?

So allegedly* (happy psylockolussus?) we're headed to 1992 or 1993 hopefully around 2019 or 2020 for X7.

What costume designs do you want them to base the looks off?

Jubilee

Phoenix (minus headsock and thongy blue line)

Nightcrawler (Just give him his white gloves and boots)

Storm (Like this short cut with gold era fit with smaller shoulder pads)

Quicksilver (unfortunately)

Cyclops (Add aviators, bomber jacket, and lose the underwear)

I'm all for the hover chair. They could make it streamlined like Stewart's hoverchair in the future ending of DOFP.

At least this time it is expected that we get some comic costumes, unlike with Apocalypse, where we discussed what costumes we'd like for pages and pages only to end up getting black flight suits.

Anyway, I want Storm with long hair again. And yes they should retire her overdesigned costume from XMA's last scene and just recreate the Jim Lee look.

I was thinking everyone would have a similar kinda X-Piece with whatever color variation. Could be used as a communicator between the team.

Covering up the legs makes this costume much better than the Apocalypse one keep the boob window away and Munn will look perfect. Sorta like this standard X-Uniform but with Psylocke's colorway

OK yes I agree Jim Lee's redesign of Jean isn't the best.


The Phoenix look is iconic I just personally don't want it because whenever she wear Phoenix look theres a chance she dies.

But another small problem is Phoenix attire doesnt scream X-Men Team member. It would kinda stand out awkwardly against the other 90's looks.

Or would a amalgamation Gold Team 90's (Minus Head Sock/Thong Line) mix with Phoenix look?

Keep the costumes we got at the end of apocalypse, or at least the same design even if they create new slightly altered for the next film.

We do need to see them in action in those outfits, don't show us those outfits at the end of apocalypse and never let us see them in action.

What about Instant Costume Change? Storm & Phoenix have that power

They certainly need better fabric/material compared to the costumes they donned at the end of Apocalypse.

Also, Storm and Quicksilver shouldn't have similar-looking costumes.

I suppose the question is why have their own individual outfits like that in the first place? i ain't gonna push my luck to assume they will go from one colourful outfit to another.

Honestly now we have the costumes like cyclops in the 90s costume i don't want them to change it, id be very disappointed if the only look at them in those costumes was in that end scene and honestly with this series i am grateful they even went as far as they did with it.

You saw what happened with Ivan Ooze reveal. FoX knows X-Men in the 1990's is why they bought the IP on the first place. X-Men TAS will have some influence on the look IMO. With Social Media today if it leaks or revealed non X-Men in the 90's looking outfits the backlash will be "uncanny" lol.

I'm not worried at all. This is the decade they can't deviate from the proper look with.

Well thankfully Singer's costume designer who worked on all his X-Films will be going with him to 20,000 Leagues so we'll be getting a new Costume Designer!!!


Whoever we get this time I hope would want to get on the fans good side immediately with improved designs.


I hope they hire Jose Fernandez & Iron Head for the entire Costume & Villain or Villains design. They should hire someone else for the civies for everyone else.

"Then when the image was released, I like most people was a little underwhelmed, for whatever reasons you know, so I said okay, but then I had a lifecast of Oscar Issac, so I thought, well, what would I have done. So then I went and started putting clay on it, and then I thought well maybe it's not possible to make him look like this character, but that is sculpted on Oscar Issac, so no it was possible. So then I just thought well I'll do my version, an homage I guess to this character, so I sculpted the makeup and then I kind of bashed out the armor fairly quickly, but just an impression of what I think that character could be or could've been."

Mingenbach is incredibly bad. I think whoever does the future costumes should just look into the books for inspiration and make them as simple and expensive looking as possible. No overdesigned crap, please.

Maybe steal away Wilkinson? He did Joy for FoX. But he did MoS, BvS, & JL. MoS & BvS arent the best but at least they looked good. I don't require much and looking the part is huge for me with these movies.

I really see no issue with them improving or changing the costumes from Apocalypse, Marvel did it with Scarlet Witch and no1curred 'cause she looked great in CW.

I'd really dig the guy who did the Apocalypse head sculpture doing the costumes. He seems to have the right idea just going off of that.

Fingers crossed they hire him & his team. I like his Black Panther a lot.

I think they give him marvel artist renderings and he creates the suits.


If they could contract a former X-Artist to design some suits for him to create it'd be perfect. Maybe Cassady his were very good.
