i'm convinced they're 2 different dresses. I cannot comprehend how someone will look at that and not think gold and white w/ shadow.

I could see how people could think it was light blue and a goldish color. But I don't see how people see black. Looks like whiteish and gold in a weird lighting.

What I noticed is that after 10 seconds of looking at a direct light source like a light bulb, when I looked back at the dress, it completely changed to Black and Blue.

The dress everybody is talking about is simply an allusion and basically a trick with the eyes using neuroscience. It's called the aftermath effect. What this does is simply play on the manipulation of colors. If you stare at the dress long enough then scroll down away from it and quickly scroll back up then the dress becomes blue and black. So both answers are correct.
