The Dark Knight What Comic Book Storylines should they use?

Batman # 2 is also an influence, it picks up after Batman # 1 revealing Joker is alive, and this is also where the fake Batman first appeared as part of a plot connected with Joker. This particular fake Batman story is what inspired the plot in the film....

Some people think the fake Batman story in Sons of Batman #1, and Batman #664, also play some role -- if this is true, then Joker spitting venom would NOT be that far fetched as that particular idea can be found in Morrison's run (to be clear Grant Morrison also wrote these two comics that are in question). Just an idea.

However it's more than likely, Batman #1 and 2, Killing Joke, Long Halloween, and a little bit of Dark Victory....

wow..... typical.

The man is justified in his opinion. If Nolan knew that key aspects of Batman universe would be too unrealistic for him to touch :cough:Joker's perma-white skin :cough: then he should never have put Joker in the sequel. I honestly think most of you, I'm not saying all of you, most of you who don't mind Joker wearing makeup would be pissed off it was any other director.

Funnily enough, I am just rereading it at the moment, what do you think might be included????

Also add- DARK VICTORY, as well as hints of HAUNTED KNIGHT by Loeb and Sale

Im sure there will be more then this but the whole "I believe in Harvey Dent" thing comes straight from TLH and DV. POSSIBLY Janis Porter? or at lest someone that will replace him after the accident...if Rachel survies TDK

The I beleive in HD will definately be there somewhere imho, a small role for Porter is also possible. As for what I could see in the film, theres a part in DV,when Alfred asks if he should invite Selina for Dinner, I think it would be a nice nod to the fans, wether Nolan ever intends to include Selina or Catwoman or not.Wecould also have Batman leaning on verious Mobsters, like he does with Zucco, I could also see some of the stuff with Scarecrow included.

indeed a lot of the Scarecrow parts or lines i should say, came out of Haunted Knight i noticed, specifically the whole "Dr. Crane isnt here right now..." part

From DV I was thinking along the lines of I BELIEVE IN HARVEY DENT, however not much more than some of the characterizations. Selina might be a nice nod like Alfred does here. One of the main reasons I included it is that it is among Christian Bale's favorites along with Long Halloween... so at worst case if elements don't show through, part of Bale's portrayal of Wayne/Batman should.

LH, KJ, Batman 1&2 those are gonna be big.

I however have considered that elements of DV might show through even further in another sequel based on how we suspect THIS film ends.

"Starting tonight, people will die. I'm a man of my word."

Does that line of dialogue sound like something the Joker would deliver over a broadcast on television? I think so.

You are cool just for not starting a new thread over it. :yay:

And seeing as TDK will take aspects of Batman #1, a television broadcast would seem fitting. The radio is a tad outdated. :oldrazz:

The Killing Joke gets mentioned quite a bit as inspiration, but I'm not seeing it based on what we've gotten so far. Probably something to do with Rachel's kidnapping and I could see the "One Bad Day" monologue getting worked into the script.

Hey BubbaGump, little off topic but what was shown in that Wizard pics thread that was closed? was it just the pics thats were are not allowed to post? or was it anything new???

just imagined "V for Vendetta" V Televised Speech, with red lipstick painted over V's mouth and "J" instead of a "V" :o
