In X4 (fingers crossed) what storyline from the comicbooks do you want writers/producers to use as an inspiration?

I personally would love to see Operation: Zero Tolerance. Replace Onslaught and Graydon Creed's death (two events that triggered this storyline) with the Phoenix/Alcatraz event and the discovery of Senator Kelly's death.

It'd be a great way to introduce characters such as Sentinels, Bastion, Sebastian Shaw (maybe Emma Frost too). Plus, it'd be great to see how the X-Men react to this. Do they choose to remain pacifistic as the Professor taught them, or do they fight for acceptance and their very rights as US citizens. If done right, it could be as controversial as the cure.

Yes, I agree. If there ever is an X4, I think Operation Zero Tolerance is the way to go. I think the 'Days of Future Past' storyline is just too complicated to incorporate into a film, especially if X4 would be as short as X3 was.

I would love to see Bastion and Sebastian Shaw in a movie. And I've been waiting for the Sentinels since X1. If they had a decent enough script and all the right actors were signed, this could the best of the franchise yet.

I think days of future past would work pretty well, since you really wouldn't have to set anything up, and could jump right into the story. Plus Bishop kicks ass.

I really think the best thing they could do is have sinister find cyclops and nurse him back to health, but turn him against the x-men...similar to what they did with morph on the cartoon

Days of Future Past works the best, since it's a classic storyline that's regarded as one of the greatest comics ever made.

The writers of X3 said they were already hinting at the Sentinel program being set-up, so it goes right along with the previous movies.

There's a good natural progression to the Mutant Registration Act with the X films. Something more sci-fi like the Shi'ar or Apocolypse wouldn't fit in as well.

The concept of DofP needs to be kept pretty simple. The time traveling isn't as much time travel, but someone having their mind sent back in time. Ellen Page is a rising young star and would be perfect for the Kitty role in DoFP.

Since Terminator is such a Days of Future Past rip-off, there needs to be more emphasis placed on characters in the future, not big giant robots. The military raiding the mansion, killing all of the mutants that resist, capturing any mutants that surrend and placing them in concentration camps. This is the mutant holocaust.

The problem is what to do with Rachel Summers, who's the one who sends Kate Pryde back in time.

DoFP is not the actual future, but an alternate future where Jean didn't die, but instead she and Scott got married and had Rachel. Ray's character in DoFP is utterly tragic, and needs to be included since it's such a great story, but the whole alternate future part is way too confusing. Maybe they call her Rachel Grey and make her Jean's niece.

My other thought about Days of Future Past is that it could be an X-Men and Fantastic Four team-up movie, since the FF are also involved. The FF all die along side of the X-Men, the final fight between the X-Men and the Sentinels happens outside the FF's Baxter building, and Franklin Richards (son of Reed and Sue) is one of the last remaining X-Men and Rachels Summers' boyfriend.

Not that I'd want the FF to take over DoFP, but by combining some of the X3 actors that are under contract (like Ellen and Kelsey) and the FF cast, it might be cost-effective way of doing Days of Future Past. It would be sort of as a side-story and not having to involve Halle Berry or Hugh Jackman (and they could cast older actors to play Storm and Wolvie for the scenes in the future)

Jean Grey is my favorite character ever, but a second resurrection is a bit too much, especially with the Professor's apparent survival.

I love her, but I hope she stays dead.
