seriously though just move on and if you must play a game find another, because there a lot of great games out right now like LOZ and GOW though.

That's half the reason I wanted the game. I knew it was based off a very solid, well devoloped engine. The other half is wanting a team w/ and .t:

Them to choose a variety of characters rather than everyone basically being melee characters. And maybe making the characters who rely on guns actually less effective than people who can rip titanium in half? For the next game, I really hope they mix it up instead of using nothing but brawlers. I'm talking Quicksilver's speed, Vision's unique powers, Magic based characters (like Nico or Wiccan). I want the a listers to come first, not second. They say they wanted a unique X-men version..... so they bring in Iceman and Colossus, two of the most boring characters in the previous games?

I'd get rid of Cage, Spider-woman, Iceman, Colossus, Nick Fury, Blade, Ms.Marvel, Elektra and Deadpool. I love all of those characters (save Colossus and Blade), but they either suck in the game (Iceman, Elektra) or really seem like a waste of space (Deadpool, Fury, Spider-woman) or both (Colossus, Blade). I'd gladly trade them for Cyclops, Rogue (with more emphasis on her actual powers while keeping some of her Ms.Marvel moves from XML2), Namor, Hulk (I know it was a legal issue, but they better make damn sure they get him for the sequel), Quicksilver, Vision, Speedball, Nova, Firestar (okay, I just like her), Hulkling (his shape changing could be really interesting), Karolina Dean (just cause shes awsome), Wasp (she can grow and be small too) and Hercules.

I haven't seen any characters specified, but at the VIP site, they've confirmed downloadable characters (maybe around March).

New can be very relative. If you think about it. Captain Marvell, Ronin, and Hawkeye aren't in the game anywhere save the PSP version. So on the consoles they would be "new".

Good point. If they do get the rights to the hulk, I doubt he'll be downloadable. I think they'd want to save him for the sequel.

For more cynicism the "new content" could easily be comic missions for Collosus, Moon Knight, Silver Sufer* and any PSP characters that didn't get one.

*Haven't unlocked him yet so I can't be sure.

Read a book. Seriously. Either you'll learn something, or you'll realize replaying the game isn't really all that boring, especially with different characters. Then get some fresh air. It's a long game.

the game is roughly 35-40 hours. Thats a pretty decent size length

While some of those characters would be cool some would be just like who we have;
Hulk = The Thing
Firestar would be just like the Human Torch, Karolina Dean would probably resemble his powers/design too
Namor and Hercules would probably just be another melee character like Luke Cage and Colossus
Rogue worked like another Melee character in XML and I doubt her character would change much
Some of those characters would be cool though Cyclops would be a better X-Man than Colossus. Quicksilver, Vision, Speedball and Wasp would be cool just because they have some different powers.

Hulk would get stronger when he takes more damage.

I can't wait to get this game when it's $20. I never spent more than $30 on the XML games and I'm glad I didn't.

The one thing I can't get out of my mind after playing this game: Why the hell is Daredevil 10x's more usefull (and fun) to play as than Spidey? I love both characters but Spidey seriously sucked (to me) in this game.

I'm with Jaydawg when it comes to the character selection. Elektra!?Colossus!? The list seriously screams half-assed. I very much wish this game had been more (classic not new) Avengers centric.
