Sequels What do you REALLY think about spiderman 4?

Do you guys really truley believe they should make spiderman 4? i mean i want more kick ass spidey like the next guy, but if you think about what tobey said, theres only so many stories you can tell before it turns into batman forever you know? seeing mysterio would be awesome but theres no point in more movies if its going to be pointless

I think if they are goin to make any more spidey movies in the Raimi continuiy than they should only do one more because trilgoy's are cliche and most of the cast wont return for a figth/sixth movie.

One more movie...i'm all for Spider-Man 4.

The Bond movies, granted that not all are great have been running since 1962 and we're about to get the 21st film with the 22nd coming in 2008.
The thing with spider-man and comic book movies in general is that they have a back catalogue of source material which incidentaly in spidey's case dates back to 1962 too.
With good writing and a good cast and director, there shouldn't be a problem with dishing out spidey movies. For goodness sake HP has more movies than spidey does and he only has about 6 books or so.
So yes, more bigger and better spidey movies with the lizard in sm4.

exactly though, if they make a spiderman 4, they would have to put the lizard into it because they have to incoperate the villans into peters life, EG - sandman had to have a connection to spidey, so hes the 1 who kills uncle ben. I dont want to find out in spiderman 4 that mysterio really createed everyone as an illusion in spiderman 3 so there really was no venom and such so thats y spidey and mysterio fight. you understand?

There were a number of reasons Batman &Robin (Forever made the most in BO in 1995, and wasnt that bad) failed.

I hate when people compare Bond to superhero films especaill when the idea is so different. U can get into Bond without reasearch but with superheroes they have much more important stories that influence how the chracter is persoanlity wise etc.

Bond is like Sherlock Holmes where continuity barely effects them and you can jump onto anyfilm and understand.

But Spider-Man/Peter Parker is a character that goes through many changes each event in the movies shapes his character. Has Bonds chracter and personality really changed or did u need to see the other movies to get the full picture. The answer is no....
If you want to do a super hero movie saga it should be like a comic book saga/story arc, not like one shots that Sherlock Holmes and Bond Films are....

One of the things that happened with the Batman Saga is that the actors frequently changed and so did directors/writers adn other important parts to the creative development. The cast and crew of spidey won't do more than four films in my opinion, and that's a good thing because quality will diminish. if the cast and crew changes. Some Bond films are really good while some to some people might not be so good because the cast and crew has changed several times.

I don't believe in the Bond Theory....

because it simply doesnt work for superhero movies.....

They've been working o Dr.c Conners throughout the 3 movies (if the info on 3 is correct), it would feel kinda lame, if they wouldn't do something with that.
However, I do agree that they should milk out the spiderman movies, just for the fun of it.
'ooh we got 8 more enemies (or whatever count), lets put them in somehow'.
Like others have said, a decent script could be grreat, no half-assing like Batman please.

The thing about the comics though, do enemies ever really completely die in them? they always do in movies, which makes em unbelievable to bring back later.

Honestly i think even a pro like Raimi can mess up if he presses his luck too far.

True. but the main reason the first 3 movies flowed flawlessly was because the stories were connected so they could continue in an awesome way.

EXAMPLE:
Spiderman: Harry Wants Revenge On Spiderman For Killing His Father, Mary Jane Falls For Peter but Peter Can Be With Her Because Of His New Identity ->
Spiderman 2: Harry Still Seeks Revenge An Discovers His Fathers Secret, Mary Jane Leaves Peter For JJ Then Discovers Peters Secret, + The Dr. Conners is introduced ->
Spiderman 3: Harry Becomes a Goblin of some kind to get peter, Mary Jane an Peter Start their relationship, JJJ asks Eddie Brock to find out why Mar Jane Lift His Son for Peter, Doctor Conners stays an plays a role in the series.

Now if 3 has GOOD open ends like 1,an 2 then im all for 4. But If 3 is Symbolic an ends like a good trilogy should. i think it should stop.
