two back to the future references in one season? Its not getting any funnier. I love the show and still think its hilarious...star wars references and indiana jones multiple references are cool but i just got 2 b2tf ones in a row.

Yeah, no kidding. I mean, I'm a fan of the show. Probably more than anyone I knw, but it's getting ridiculous the way they just recycle old ideas. How many Star Wars references have there been EVER, let alone the past year? And like you said, BTTF references in consecutive weeks.

Oh, and this is without mentioning all the jokes they've gone ahead and used multiple times throughout the duration of the series. I've picked up on quite a few now they they air this show at a ridiculous pace - between TBS, Adult Swim, and CW.

The Simpsons never did anything even remotely similar to what Family Guy did in terms of taking shots against each other. Groening has a right to be pissed.

What a ****ed up episode. So what essentially happens, is Brian II rapes rupert, and Stewie cuts him (Brian II) up, killing and mutilating his body and throws him in the trashcan.

That's just on a whole other level of wrong. **** like that makes me NOT want to watch the show anymore.

They showed Quagmire force himself on Marge, then they go off screen and have sex. Then you see the Simpson's house, Homer finds Marge with Quagmire who shoots Homer, then Marge, then Bart, Lisa, and Maggie.

Current Simpsons show-runner Al Jean has made it a point in life to let everyone and Grandma know that he hates Family Guy.

Groening is the "face" of the series and thus trying to down-play everything in the press imo.

When it comes to animal brutality, it's a whole nother ball game. The thing he did to brian when he didn't pay him was pretty bad too. I mean, if you look at it from the perspective that it's just a normal dog, that's ****ed up. Stuff like that doesn't need to be "made fun of".

This is a cartoon. Brian II is a cartoon dog.
But lets just say, who cares if he's a cartoon dog? He's also a rapist. Stewie killed the guy who raped his best friend.

If Tony had gotten the rapist from The Sopranos and thrown him in the meat grinder, i would have cheered.

Just because they don't like seeing animal violence (even being done animated and for the intention of making people laugh) doesn't automatically make them "tight-assed!"
