What happend to the father crystal ?? I thought it was green and it had some kind of bond with superman in the way he would know where it was !!!

Same here i seem to recall that he said it called out to him i think its merged with the fotress of solitude or maybe all the crystals luthor stole form the master crystal.

In the Lester cut, the green crystal is what gave him back his power. It was never seen again. My assumption is that it gave up the last of it's power and vanished.

This all is opposed to the Donner cut where Jor-El gives the last of his life force for him to regain his power.

Either way, I don't think the green crystal would have been relevant to SR. Of course, nothing was relevant in SR, but that's another matter.

it'd have been interesting if getting in and out of there was a bit of a challenge for lex. "mind over muscle" and all that.

The green crystal dissapeared in superman 2 so of course it's not seen here although it did show up again in Sm 4 so the vague history stuff could use either film as a reason it's gone.

Singer changed the father crystal to clear which can be seen in the cut footage of young clark finding his ship and I believe LL shows it to his crew in the model train scene.

Singer also didn't make the Krypton scene, it wasn't important to him. Also, if the new Donner vision had Jor-El giving his lifeforce to bring back his powers, then why would Jor-El still be in the FOS? And another thing, did CK go back for the father crystal?

Krypton scenes are all done and in the can. They were done a long time ago. Singer cut the entire scene out when he was told to get the pic to 2hrs 30mins, so it was easy to excise that whole scene as it coudl bo told in lines. But it is done.

I thought he didn't make it at all, because he had a time issue. So, why won't it be on the deleted scenes? I thought I read he won't have it on their. Lester also put in his new stuff in Supes2, look how that turned out. Donners cut will be better. At least have the deleted scenes.

Nope. They wer done early. SPFX shot in first teaser. Also all the ships interior shots done. There are pics of it. Those scenes where in the can. He isnt putting it on this one as they are going to release an directors extended but later on. It is a way for Warners to make more money. There was a post on it a few days ago.

Now I remember there was a pic in a magazine I have of Clark with a white T on and the ship was in front of him. It was early morning. Will the directors cut be in the 14 disc Superman deluxe thing? I hope so, cause I don't wanna have to buy that expensive thing, then buy SR Directors cut 3 months later. I hate when they do that. Just do it all at once. Like Daredevil, and X-men, and others. Oh yeah, LOTR. My friend bought the 1st one when it came out, and 3-4 months later, it came on 4 disc.
