Just for the hell of it, I've been working on my own storyline for "Batman 3", potentially to turn it into a comic if I get enough motivation.
I had an idea, though... As Black Mask plays the mob boss rising to power, I've toyed with the idea of using some bigger villains as simple soldiers for Black Mask, most prominently Clayface and Hush. They're just two mobsters that work for Black Mask that don a clay mask and a bandage mask (respectively). Also, the use of Deadshot or Deathstroke as such (I'm undecided as to which, but either way I'm planning for whichever I use to come into a much larger role).
That said, what would you all think if Nolan were to use villains like these as lesser-known mobsters who don't really have a major impact in the story, but serve more like Fitzy, Dellahunt, and French did to Frank Costello in The Departed? Maybe he could just throw the names in there as a little "easter egg" to the fans, without having to include them in a major way?
I just think this could keep the path clear for the use of other bigger villains like Catwoman, Riddler, or others, without essentially "overcrowding" the film in the effort to include more names, albeit even if in an "easter egg" fashion.
I don't care to see Hush take prominence, as his background and motivations suck. Clayface just won't happen unless he's just a disguised killer (I just don't really see him having a groundbreaking presence in this series). Would any of you oppose this idea? Or, for those who wouldn't mind this idea, what other names would you like to see in that sense?
