Figured this could be fun, I do it on other forums. These are "What if" situations.

Alright, wha if Nirvana never existed? Would we still be listening to hair bands? Would the music scene have taken such a dramatic turn? Would the grunge culture have developed?

Explain how you think things would be different in the world.

Nirvana wasn't the only grunge band coming out of C@L[/wilhelm]

Cobain would still be alive.

not necessarily . Cobain would of been part of a different band . Perhaps a drummer. He still would of found his way into the rock and roll lifestyle and got into drugs. he could have found sucess or not been as big, either way he could of died of a drug overdose instead of suicide.

i think certain hard rock bands with guys wearing jeans and a tshirt would of made their way into the mainstream . i think the music scene would of still changed .

No Foo Fighters...:csad:

if nirvana never existed their would never be bands influenced by them.

awesome avy knowsbleed.

Thanks...

and as I've said earlier... Nirvana wasn't the only grunge band coming out of the Washington area. Pearl Jam, Mudhoney, The Melvins and others came out of there as well... the latter two actually influencing the Nirvana sound.

What some says is true, there were other bands on the scene of grunge rock, but I would be willing to bet that none were as influencial as Nirvana for todays bands.

no one would've ever heard of Courtney Love.

If Smells Like Teen Spirit wasn't played 24/7 on MTV when it first came out, Nirvana wouldn't be as influential either. :o

They didnt come out of Cali. lol
It's internet dip****-speak.

C- see
@ - at
L - "ull" sound

It's sizzling with cleverness and saves a lot of time when you're typing about Seattle.
That's 4 characters you don't have to type.
But, you do always have to explain that it isn't referring to California, which usually requires about 262 characters to do. :(

:(

alice and chains did start out with long hair but it was frizzly or whatever. they looked like metallica .

What if:

Courtney actually killed him to get his money?

I actually think that's the truth anyway, always have.

Kurt was into drugs way before he got famous he was raised on them due to his undiagnosable stomach pains. They pumped him full of drugs which began his dependancy on the things, he got addicted to Cough Syrup amongst other things at a very early age.

There is a good chance that if Kurt had not been a musician he would've been an artist, perhaps struggling to pay for drugs he may have turned to a life of crime. He would've died either way. Nirvana may have actually prolonged his life. Gave him something to live for for a short time.

If Nirvana never existed I would be without a favorite band.

Oh and I ****ing HATE Teen Spirit with a passion.

EDIT:

Also I would never have picked up a guitar.

If Nirvana, another sad garage band would have played.
Granted Grunge was just a passing two year fad.
