What if the cure was instead of some sort of pill or injection was an entity separator that managed to separate the hulk from banner...

kinda like what was shown in teh cartoon...

IN the end bruce would then have to merge back with the savage hulk to gain some sort of control over it and then confront the abomination

This would be similar to what happened in the 90s end of season one hulk cartoon storyline.

would this be more acceptable to people and drive a more interesting story than a pill/injection based cure?

Agreed

sounds like a cool option, cure being a "general term" that just means... no more Hulk...

I have no idea if it's what's gonna happen or not, but that could work and make some of us happy here....(looking in some direction :whatever:)

^^^ hmm.. i wonder who you are looking at?

i'm 50-50 on this, i wouldnt mind seeing it.

Well they did say doc samson would be in it, I just hope they don't make him a cure 'medicine' doctor.

I would love to see him as a psychologist or maybe a geneticist.

The forfeit bruce would then have to make would be the permanent mental or physical combination of his genes to the hulk's rather than the inability to create some sort of lab based forumla...

I don't know, to me, it sounds even worse. Sounds like a great comic storyline, or for a TV show (as you said it came from the cartoon.) Yet, I wouldn't be fine with seeing it in the movie.

I was never horrified by him searching the earth for a cure, which is all it really said in the synopsis isn't it?

I like the idea of him SEARCHING for one, rather than finding one.

What if the cure was some how linked to the cure from X-Men 3.
Would be a cool crossover even if it were just mentioned.

doubt it's gonna Happen,

the rights of "mutants" and X-men are with FOX

In the first synopsis, it gives the impression that he does indeed find a cure in this film but sacrifices taking it, or reverses the effects in order to deal with the abomination threat.

mark my words, it isn't an empty search film...

I believe it was changed for a reason. But if not -shrugs-. No reason in complaining for me, I don't expect a masterpiece, I expect a fun enjoyable movie.

it was a storyline in the comics long before the cartoon was around.

I wouldn't mind if the Hulk & Banner got separated, that could make for an interesting movie.
